Overview
The Director of Ticket Sales position at our UMass Amherst property would oversee the ticket sales team, and manage the sales and servicing execution of season tickets, partial season tickets, mini-plans, group tickets, and individual tickets for the Minutemen athletics department.
This role will pay a wage of $42,000 to $52,000.

About the Venue
Responsibilities
- Manage sales team, helping them to achieve the department sales and activity targets and goals
- Oversee the day-to-day sales reporting and communication with client and OVG executive team
- Maximize revenue through the sale of ticket packages including season tickets, partial plans, group tickets, and individual game tickets
- Establish professional relationships to repeat business and superior customer service
- Use proactive tactics to create opportunities for new business with existing customers
- Use cold calling, appointments, and social selling as tools to sell season, group, and partial ticket plan packages
- Conduct weekly sales meetings and create reporting system to client/OVG corporate team
- Call past customers and new customers to generate ticket sales
- Conduct inside and outside appointments to gain business with new and existing customers while maintaining high call volume
- Participate in outside networking events to gain additional business & develop relationships with new leads
- Handle incoming sales calls from prospective clients for all ticket packages
- Meet or exceed appointed sales goals for all ticket packages
- Maintain and complete accurate records for customers
- Staff all home games to assist ticket sales promotional programs
- Multi-task between handling large call volume and servicing customers
- Ability to handle heavy call volume, both outbound and inbound
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as dictated with event schedules
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree from accredited college/university in a related field required
- 5+ years of sales experience with emphasis in college, major, or minor league sports team ticket or premium seating sales
- Familiarity with Paciolan and Salesforce.com (CRM) preferred; proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, Word and Outlook is required
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in the English language required
- Demonstrated ability to manage numerous business relationships in a professional manner
- Superior time management skills and presentation skills
- Must possess attention to detail, organization, and ability to listen
- Must be professionally aggressive, competitive, and possess a dedicated attitude
- Must be highly motivated and positive with strong aspirations to be successful
- Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays as needed, in addition to traditional business hours
