About the Role

As Head of Fulfillment Integration, Food Tech Venture for one of our portfolio companies, you’ll own the fulfilment operations of a new business in the food and grocery space and play a critical role in integrating innovative fulfilment practices into the Walmart end-to-end supply chain. You will work hand-in-hand with relevant teams at Walmart to contribute to the development of a scalable food delivery capability for Walmart.

What You Will Do:

  • Design, build, launch and run a food delivery capability in a limited number of test markets, leveraging existing capabilities while building out new functionalities as needed to drive operational excellence and customer service.
  • Develop a fulfillment integration strategy to incorporate key food delivery functionalities into the existing Walmart capability, driving improvements in product, engineering, operations and other aspects of the business.
  • Build extensive and deep relationships across various level of seniorities in relevant Walmart functions across Merchandising, Merchandising Operations, Store Operations, Walmart +, Online Pickup and Delivery, Omni, and End-to-End Fulfillment
  • Actively partner and work with internal stakeholders to develop fulfillment integration solutions
  • Understand the strategy and the complexity of operations across Merchandising, Store Operations, and E2E fulfillment
  • Own monthly and quarterly operational targets and cost objectives for the venture fulfillment operations
  • Drive discussions and coordination processes to develop operational improvements like batching, chaining, increasing density etc.
  • Minimize operational risk that affect customer experience. Contribute to the goals of the POC-stage team by optimizing operational fulfillment for a satisfying customer experience.
  • Keep tab on the food ecosystem to gain market intelligence and identify opportunities for the SN8 venture and Walmart
  • Gather relevant information and feedback from potential internal and external partners to enable better service and engagement

What You Will Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 10+ years experience in food service operations
  • Experience with operational fulfillment of food
  • Demonstrated success in improving operational efficiency
  • Knowledge of and passion for food and grocery preferred
  • Experience and network in various types of players in the food ecosystem
  • Experience working closely with tech organizations (I.e., product, engineering, design)
  • Track record of efficiently partnering with cross-functional stakeholders
  • Ability to thrive in an ambiguous environment
  • Superior communication and presentation skills
  • Demonstrate outsized focus on customer experience

The annual salary range for this position is $140,000.00-$260,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives.

Additional compensation for certain positions may also include:

– Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location)

– Stock equity incentives

Minimum Qualifications…

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Operations, or related field and 5 years’ experience in operations, project
management, or related area OR 7 years’ experience in operations, project management, or related area.
3 years’ supervisory experience.
