Director, PMT- ES, AWS No Code and Low Code Apps

Amazon is seeking a Director of Product to lead efforts to build strategic new products and services in response to our customers’ growing demand for apps and other IT services. Our mission is to invent a new product at the intersection of no-code app development and machine learning to help our customers solve this problem at scale. As a Director in this group, you will drive the product strategy, vision, and roadmap. Strong judgment and communication skills, long term technical vision, and continuous focus on product, engineering and operational excellence are essential for the success in this role. A successful candidate will be both creative and highly analytical, able to work extremely effectively in a matrix organization, and adept at synthesizing a variety of technologies and capabilities into products and applications that customers love.

Key job responsibilities
• Lead the definition and delivery of new services and tools that help developers build cloud applications.
• Identify new product opportunities and write their business proposals.
• Drive the coordination and clear communication of a multi-product roadmap, working across multiple groups.
• Work with engineering and design teams to define fast-paced, but realistic schedules.
• Create the pricing, product positioning, and go-to-market plans.
• Enable the sales team with product training and collateral.
• Create and drive a community engagement plan.

A day in the life

As a Director building a 0-1 product, you will embrace ambiguity and change as an enabler and an accelerant. Each day you are open to new ideas, new market information, and new ways of solving problems. You will intelligently seed ideas, test them cheaply, and iterate with teams to get the best results for customers. You will ensure that the core foundations are laid down solidly by encouraging teams to continue making progress towards long term goals as you ship iteratively. You will bring in energy and zeal to tap into the immense opportunity despite the odds.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s Degree
• 10+ years of experience in product or program management, product marketing, or software development
• 7+ years people management experience building strong teams and managing managers
• Proven ability to identify, analyze, and solve challenging problems, showing a track record of making business decisions using relevant data and insights
• Demonstrated experience in building, delivering and operating products and services
• Experience with UX Research, Design and product-led growth methodologies
• Experience with agile software development methodologies and track record for prioritizing and delivering results in fast-moving environments

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Executive-level product ownership including product definition, multiple release cycles, and adoption success.
• Track record of shipping high-performance software to a wide range of customers at high velocity
• Experience with completion of full product lifecycle (concept through GTM, including pricing and packaging, direct sales, and partner ecosystems)
• MBA or master’s degree in related discipline
• Strong finance related skills relating to P&L management and pricing

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $239,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $350,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
