You will lead a talented team of product managers to develop and execute innovative, high-impact educational programs that cater to diverse learner needs, enhance educational outcomes, and ensure customer compliance.

PowerSchool Special Programs is hiring a Director of Product Management to contribute to the vision and build global product features that will help schools, teachers and administrators ensure students progress with the accommodations that they need. This is an opportunity at the leading EdTech provider with lots of growth potential for you professionally as you contribute to transformational initiatives at the company. We are looking for someone with at least 3 years of product and people leadership experience and will require working cross-functionally with our India team. ET or CT time zone required.

Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership: Work with product and cross-functional leaders to develop and execute a strategic vision for special education programs, aligning them with the company’s mission and goals. Build the roadmap for global features and state and LEA regulatory compliance and reporting.

Team Management: Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of product managers to achieve their full potential and foster a culture of innovation and excellence.

Product Development Execution Guide product management processes and partner with engineering to efficiently deliver high-value, high-quality agile product releases.

Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, services, support, success, sales and others to ensure the successful launch and ongoing improvement of special programs.

Market Research and Discovery: Stay at the forefront of educational trends, conducting market research, competitive analysis on continuous discovery to identify opportunities.

Customer Management: Manage customer relationships,

Stakeholder Engagement: Effectively evangelize the product and strategy both internally and externally. Build and maintain strong relationships with educational institutions, partners, and internal stakeholders to drive adoption and success of special programs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Proven track record of at least 6 years in product management, with 4 years in a leadership role.
  • Experience with and understanding of the education technology landscape and trends (special education experience preferred).
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional communication and leadership abilities.
  • Excellent problem solving, conflict resolution, interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • Experience with user-centered design and agile development methodologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Passion for education and a commitment to improving learning outcomes for all.

A reasonable estimate of the base compensation range for this position is $114,000 – $168,480. The compensation range is specific to the United States and incorporates many factors including but not limited to an applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience and training; licensures, degrees, and certifications; internal equity; internal pay ranges; and market data/range parameters.
