Compensation: $123,000 – $170,000

Purpose

Responsible for:

  1. Execution of Programs (including DLI,TLI,DG connections).
  2. Oversight of stores/logistics operations (material supply, rubber goods).
  3. Direction and oversight of Joint Use of Plant (pole attachments, joint ownership process, rates & regulatory matters, etc.). Local accountability over SAIFI reliability to ensure execution of associated programs and approved CAPEX.

The position provides leadership and direction to achieve goals and implement change. Responsibilities within the areas mentioned above include safety, reliability, customer satisfaction, cost-effective resource allocation, staff selection and development, process improvement and oversight, major project management and daily field operations activities. Coordinates and participates in problem-resolution and emergency response with other functions and subject matter experts. Ensures administrative matters such as payroll, budgets, performance reviews, safety, scheduling, and work management reports are completed in a timely and accurate manner. Responsible for the safe and efficient Operating Company emergency preparedness and restoration efforts.

Responsibilities

  1. Develops and implements annual business plan for all areas mentioned above, including O&M and Capital budgets. Monitors ongoing progress and reallocates resources as necessary to ensure goal achievement (Safety, Reliability, and Customer Service).
  2. Oversee and evaluate work processes. Identifies and implements process improvements. Creates a climate of innovation, in which ideas for process improvement are continually encouraged from within the organization.
  3. Responsible for the safe and efficient Operating Company emergency preparedness and restoration efforts.
  4. Oversees department’s initiatives, the preparation of budgets and the tracking, cost control, and reporting of actual O&M and capital expenditures.
  5. Responsible for employee goals and objectives while ensuring alignment with department and corporate goals.
  6. Reviews reports that document performance in meeting department, corporate, or Regulatory goals and requirements.
  7. Represents the company on various teams or committees regarding state, regional, or national issues. Acts as liaison for the Company with customers and with state and municipal agencies to coordinate efforts.

Skills and Requirements

Education & Experience Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.
  • Project Management, Business, or related discipline with a minimum of 5 years of related field experience.
  • Associate’s Degree in related discipline with 10 years of related experience may be substituted.
  • Master’s Degree preferred.
  • Thorough knowledge of company, federal, and state policies, and procedures.
  • Prior supervisory/management experience.
  • Familiarity with budget preparation.
  • Knowledge of electric utility and maintenance delivery practices.
