This role will work closely with Ripple Effect leadership to execute mixed methods evaluations and research studies. In this role, you will oversee a team of researchers and be responsible for designing and executing research and evaluation projects that answer important policy questions. You will collaborate with our government clients to understand their needs and provide them with common sense, tailored solutions.

Responsibilities
- Identifies and locates resources through hiring, recruiting, consultants, and internal resources to execute evaluation and studies.
- May manage larger projects and research teams, multiple concurrent projects or interdisciplinary projects spanning multiple business units.
- Ensures projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget and are technically sound and accurate.
- Provides technical advice on methodology approaches to accomplish project objectives (e.g., research design, analytical techniques, sampling methods)
- Develops a detailed project plan to track progress and manage changes in project scope, schedule, and costs.
- Provides expert advice and contributes to technical execution including data collection, instrument design, report development, analysis, and synthesis of findings or other deliverables.
- Establishes and maintains relationships with external consultants, vendors, and partners and identifies new partnerships when appropriate.
- Manages the relationship with the client and all stakeholders.
- Works with the BD team to develop a divisional pipeline of proposal opportunities by developing relationships, vetting opportunities, leading proposals, and overseeing the pricing and technical solutions for proposals.
- Actively promote the company and the division by contributing to recruiting, participating in networking events, presenting at professional meetings, and actively developing networks.
- Provides overall strategic direction and leadership for the division including staffing (recruiting, mentoring, development, retention), business capabilities and areas of focus, financial planning and profitability, annual priorities, and goal setting
- Leads the development of processes and procedures that enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of the team’s operations.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Requirements
Minimum Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field (e.g., social sciences, health or science, program evaluation or economics)
- 17 years of relevant work experience
- 6 years of project management experience
- 2 years of supervisory experience
- 4 years of business development experience
Basic Requirements
- Technical experience with qualitative and quantitative software packages
- Experience preparing OMB and IRB clearance packages
- Advanced skills with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Project and people management skills in budgeting, resourcing, planning, tasking and risk management
- Ability to communicate results simply and effectively that translates into successful engagements with clients and stakeholders
- Ability to bring along existing relationships with clients, stakeholders, external vendors and researchers in the field
- Ability to obtain a security clearance (includes US citizenship as specified by contracts)
- NIH project experience
- Consulting experience, and government consulting is preferred
