DESCRIPTION:
Duties: Lead strategic planning for global IT architecture with Asset Wealth Management (AWM) business leaders and develop a technology roadmap to support business strategy and deliver business outcomes. Lead a team of engineering managers, senior architects, and SRE leads to build complex largescale platforms for Client Onboarding and Managed Accounts Trading and Portfolio Optimization. Steer a large global technology organization toward the modernization of technology platforms driving consolidation of complex legacy applications and migrating them to the Public Cloud. Develop AI First architectures that are modular, highly performant, horizontally scalable and resilient for the business areas supported. Develop critical components of platforms, building and testing prototypes and optimizing software for performance and resiliency. Actively conduct architecture reviews and code reviews using techniques such as pair programming/mob programming. Define optimal team structures and work allocations, develop hiring plans to attract top talent. Employ agile best practices to deliver high quality software. Employ Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) approaches to deliver robust runtime environment. This is a hands-on role with 25-30% of the time spent coding critical frameworks and components. Telecommuting permitted up to 40% of the week. Up to 10% domestic and international travel required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field of study plus 10 years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer/Developer, IT Director or related occupation.
Skills Required: Requires experience in the following: IT architecture, design, build and implementation within the Financial Services Industry; Building and managing multi-year roadmaps working with business teams; Equities; Fixed Income; Listed and OTC Derivatives; Forex; Accounting platforms and ledgers; middle office applications; post trade workflows; Workflow platforms; Real time, high performance, low latency and resilient global trading systems; Architecture strategy for team of 150+ engineers including architects, designers and developers; Hands-on coding in languages including Java; Usage of Messaging technologies including KAFKA; Hands-on building of critical software components and frameworks; Architecture, design, build and migration of applications and services to the Public Cloud; Building large Data platforms; Hybrid Transactional and Analytical Processing (HTAP); Hadoop; Spark; in-memory databases such as Mem SQL; Software Reliability best practices; Service level indictor definition and tracking; Synthetic monitoring and observability engineering; Automated testing; and, Performance tuning and scaling of Java applications, databases and distributed clusters in production environments.
Job Location: 575 Washington Boulevard, Jersey City, NJ 07310. This position requires up to 10% domestic and international travel. Telecommuting permitted up to 40% of the week.
Salary: $325,000.00-$500,000.00 per year.
