The Director, Strategy and Business Communications will work with the Johnson & Johnson MedTech team.

Reporting to the Vice President, Sector External Affairs & DePuy Synthes Global communications, the Director, Strategy and Business Communications will support the development, evolution and successful communication of J&J MedTech transformation, strategic communications and change management globally, focused on driving reputation, culture management and consistent communication.
This highly visible role requires a strength in operations, strategy and prioritization and a strong foundation in communications excellence to be a key contributor in enhancing the creativity, connectivity, efficiency and business impact of the MT CPA organization.

Responsibilities:
• Brainstorming, planning, and executing key global business transformation, change management and reputation building campaigns.
• Define and execute global MedTech Communications strategy and vision
• Establish clear communications strategy for MedTech, aligned to BP process and closely connected to global, digital and franchise priorities
• Work with external agencies and industry partners to create materials, positioning papers and presentations to showcase the best of MedTech
• Develop and lead organizational and business communications
• Develop and implement an organizational communications strategy for MedTech, leading all matters related to organizational communications & employee engagement
• Build strong relationships with key business partners, providing insight and strategic counsel on employee communications and ensuring organizational communications strategy is aligned to business needs/priorities
• Provides high-level project management skills: manages time, multi-tasks and moves quickly with efficiency and attention to detail while ensuring deadlines are met
• Partners closely with key colleagues including within the DePuy Synthes business, J&J MedTech and Johnson & Johnson
• Demonstrates a strong understanding of global nuances/needs in communication.
• Maintains strong understanding of current industry, market and technology trends affecting the Johnson & Johnson MedTech reputation, DePuy Synthes, and brands
• Finalizing, submitting, and securing timely approval of key communications materials
• Mentor staff and interns to meet deadlines and enhance their skills
• Displays excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills and an ability to communicate with a diverse group of people and audiences
Qualifications
Education:
• Minimum of a BA in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Government Affairs, English or closely related field is required
Required:
• Minimum of ten (10) years’ experience in Communications
• Experience with external communications and global change management
• Experience in healthcare, pharmaceutical, med tech or another heavily regulated industry
• Extremely strong analytical, critical thinking and writing skills
• Track record of successfully managing communications and leading teams across a matrix
• Experience working in a global setting and a demonstrated understanding of global organizational challenges with the ability to navigate ambiguous situations
• Experience managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, matrix environment
• Experience interacting with senior level executives
Preferred:
• Experience finalizing, submitting and securing timely approval of varied communications products
• Agency and digital media
• Experience within a heavily matrixed environment is highly preferred
• Experience managing complex communications efforts; including acquisitions and divestitures
Other:
• This position is global and will require up to 15% domestic and/or international travel
The anticipated base pay range for this position is $142,000 to $244,950. The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/ performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis.
