The Role: Director, Product Management – Sustainability Solutions

The Team: The Sustainability Solutions Team is responsible for developing, managing, and deploying Market Intelligence’s Sustainability product and business strategy. The team acts as a central nervous system that helps deliver S&P Global’s Sustainability data and solutions IP across multiple products, workflow tools and bespoke delivery solutions within the Market Intelligence division. They work with all functions across the business as well as multiple S&P Global divisions to help convert problems that our clients are facing into new and innovative solutions to the market.

Responsibilities:
Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that Market Intelligence meets or beats its revenue and ACV commitments for Sustainability. You are responsible for helping drive MI’s Sustainability product strategy, and ensure we are reaching our customers with Sustainability data and solutions wherever they are. You will be partnering very closely with Sustainabile1 to help deploy their IP across Market Intelligence. Your success in this role is dependent on understanding client workflow and critical client needs, working with MI’s broad portfolio of product teams to plan, prioritize and execute new product ideas, and supporting our global commercialization efforts across the portfolio of solutions we offer. You will be involved in several strategic projects, including strategic & commercial partnerships as well as integration projects. You will also be accountable to the financial performance of MI’s Sustainability business, and will be expected to support financial reporting, budgeting, planning, and general business performance reporting on a regular basis.
- Coordinating product and solution deployment across Market Intelligence, in close collaboration with Sustainabile1 and other S&P Global divisions.
- Developing, maintaining, and deploying product synergy projects, involving delivering unique Sustainability data products and solutions that exist across the S&P Global portfolio, into discreet workflow offerings across each MI business unit.
- Project managing engagement between Product management, technology, and data teams across the division to help drive the deployment of new solutions
- Synthesize ideas from internal business leaders, customer usability studies, end-user feedback and competitive/market intelligence and collaborate with product development teams to shape them into powerful platform enhancements with a focus on return-on-investment.
- Influence product development by providing feedback to business managers on market needs and practices as well as required product enhancements.
- Building consensus and justifying product recommendations in terms of client workflow/need, usability, intuitiveness, consistency, and business goals.
- Increase market penetration and client retention through on-site visits with clients and prospects
- Supporting the coordination and execution between teams delivering custom solutions to the market (custom analysis, projects, solutions).
- Building and maintaining MI wide Sustainability Product and Solutions roadmap documentation
- Support the execution of go-to-market strategies for product rollout/launch
- Create and implement special projects and programs that touch our commercialization strategy, strategic partnerships, and integration initiatives.
- Support development of business plans, ROI models and financial plans that support our investments in Sustainability.
- Track the business including supporting regular reporting of commercial results, financial results, operations, and other strategically important projects. Collaborating closely with MI’s Finance and Sales Operations teams.
- Lead reporting to senior stakeholders, including roadmaps and project status updates, in collaboration with MI’s program management teams.
- Communicate regular updates to the broader MI Sustainability community, including weekly divisional updates, as well as coordinating with MI’s internal and external communications team
- Drive key stakeholder management across each MI business unit, Sustainable1 and other MI divisions
Qualifications / Requirements:
- Strong and proven product management experience
- Experience operating in a complex multi business unit / divisional organization
- Proven capability in influencing decision making among complex and large groups of stakeholders and senior level decision makers
- Strong experience with stakeholder management
- An appetite to getting things done efficiently and effectively
- Experience with go-to-market strategies
- Strong organizational skills to ensure that accountability for all key activities is clearly defined
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to link activities to clear business outcomes
- Experience with establishing processes and controls to ensure smooth operations
- Experience in working in fluid environments, and driving accountability across teams
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and strong presentation/public speaking skills
- 10+ Years of Experience
Compensation/BenefitsInformation:
S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is approximately$130,000 to $250,000. Base salary ranges may vary by geographic location.
