Position Summary:
As a Director, of Technical Program Management (DTPM), Enterprise Solutions you will join EVgo’s Solutions team, which is a fast-paced, results-oriented, hands-on group focusing on delivering end-to-end business and technical solutions across the value chain to EVgo’s B2B customers and partners.
As Director, you will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of EVgo’s Enterprise Solutions to EVgo’s customers and partners. The DTPM is a technical project leader and truly cross-functional. You will be working closely with our customers and partners to help ensure that each project scope is successfully delivered, in a timely manner – ensuring customers are able to actualize the full value of our solutions. You will work closely with Business Development, Hardware Engineering, Engineering & Construction, Software, Customer Experience, Account Management, and other internal teams to develop the overall project plan and deliver on the project scope. Utilizing a systems approach, bringing products, services, and support together, to oversee the implementation of our Enterprise Solution offerings for EVgo’s customers. Leveraging strategic thinking you can roadmap appropriate technical depth when required and articulate high-level summaries. Excellent written and oral presentation skills are a must. Successful TPMs have a proven track record designing and implementing Project/Program Management methodologies. You must be proficient in monitoring progress, identifying, and managing risks, effectively communicating with customers, and appropriately escalating both internally and externally when needed.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with customers and partners to directly manage technical delivery against program milestones and deliverables.
- Ownership and maintenance of project delivery schedules, manage dependencies between teams through PM tools (Gantt, RACI, Smartsheet) and align across key internal stakeholder organizations.
- Report progress on key technical goals to customer stakeholders at quarterly and executive business reviews.
- Constantly identify programmatic risks, critical dependencies, and work to mitigate and reduce exposure.
- Provide timely escalation of technical, timing, or resource issues/risks to Technical and Operations leadership teams.
- Advocate for the customer by identifying and surfacing customer pain points and requirements to EVgo’s Product teams for the inclusion in roadmap prioritization.
- Be the trusted advisor to our customers, helping them confirm, identify, quantify, and achieve their goals, while maximizing value of our solutions.
- Develop best practices and thought leadership content based on experiences learned from the customer.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, build sustainable processes, and coordinate deployment and release schedules.
Required Skills and Experience:
- BS/MS in engineering/science, computer science or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum 10 years of experience doing technical program management.
- Demonstrated success working directly with customers in technical program management or customer success roles, ideally in a fast-paced, technology-related environment.
- Prior experience in software and hardware product management and product development processes.
- Experience deploying SaaS products in enterprise environments and collaborating with multiple diverse stakeholders.
- Exposure to the e-mobility and electric vehicle charging industry is preferred.
- Strong technical skills to present data and information to varying audiences.
- Understanding of the e-mobility and electric vehicle charging industry is preferred.
- Great communicator with an ability to simply convey complex concepts to a non-technical audience.
- Willingness to travel to engage face-to-face with customers.

For job positions in CA, CO, and NYC, the estimated salary range for a new hire in this position is $130,000 USD to $140,000 USD. Actual salary may vary depending on job-related factors, which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition to a competitive base salary, discretionary target cash bonus, and restricted stock units (subject to Board Approval).
