Position Summary

Rufus, Amazon’s media agency of record, is seeking a Director of Technical Project Management to support the Global Data, Tech and Tools team and their overarching goal of automating data delivery to Amazon stakeholders. This change-management leader will oversee automation project workstreams and be responsible for driving the changes inherent in the evolution to automated data delivery. As a technical leader, you’ll be responsible for knowing and communicating information related to the data pipeline and associated end-to-end processes from a technical and business perspective. You’ll be identifying areas requiring change and documention as well as implementing the changes required to transition teams and processes within DTT and within local countries to new ways of working using our centralized data pipelines. You’ll oversee project managers responsible for driving communications, leading scrum sessions with product and engineering, and ensuring project milestones are communicated and met. You’ll coordinate closely with the Global Head of DTT to ensure we deliver results and provide ongoing, transparent status internally and externally using a variety of tools. This is a cross-organization role working with Amazon stakeholders and working within the Rufus agency and within DTT to drive the execution of automation roadmaps and the associated analysis and clarifications required to meet our goals.

Key Responsibilities
• Oversee project roadmaps and compile summaries to share with stakeholders, internal and external
• Identify and execute new ways of working to increase client transparency into project processes and status
• Work closely with the head of Global Data, Tech and Tools to build documentation and other content plus plan roadshows and workshops, both internal and with clients, to merchandise and drive decisions to support project roadmaps
• Oversee Project Managers / Scrum masters who will facilitate internal and external ceremonies and sessions to ensure project and product roadmaps are delivered as expected.
• Gather information and use data-driven analysis to review existing processes and define new ones. Recognize impacts of evolving tools and data collection processes and build and oversee the implementation of new processes aligned with capabilities and technology.
• Facilitate metrics, qualitative and quantitative, to demonstrate status to clients and highlight areas of improvement and opportunity
• Coordinate internally to facilitate analysis and documentation to support client inquiries
• Work cross-functionally with data engineering, product and data governance teams
• Manage multiple timelines using project management tools (MSFT Project, MSFT Planner, JIRA) and prioritizing appropriately

Desired Skills & Experience
• 6+ years’ experience within a technical program management role, ideally within a media agency
• Familiarity with the media buying process and associated platforms (buying systems, ad servers, DSPs, social platforms, research tools)
• Scrum certified and experience working in an agile environment
• Proficient using MSFT Excel to analyze data
• Strong communication skills, experience writing technical and business documents
• Experience using MSFT project and time management tools
• Experience performing SQL queries desired

We also offer a competitive Total Compensation package, including a competitive salary and eligibility for an annual discretionary incentive award or a relevant incentive award.

The salary range for this position is $130,000 to $150,000. Where an employee or prospective employee is paid within this range will depend on, among other factors, actual ranges for current/former employees in the subject position, market considerations, budgetary considerations, tenure and standing with the Company (applicable to current employees), as well as the employee’s/applicant’s skill set, level of experience, and qualifications.
