Dispatch Manager
Job Location: Phoenix, AZ
Pay Range $65K – $80K
Job Summary
Are you an experienced leader with a passion for optimizing operations? Join our dedicated team as a Dispatch Manager and play a pivotal role in overseeing the heart of our operation. As the Dispatch Manager you will lead a team of dispatchers, ensure efficient resource allocation, and contribute to the overall satisfaction of the facilities we serve.
Essential Functions/Duties
– Leadership: Provide strong leadership to a team of dispatchers, setting clear expectations, fostering a collaborative environment, and promoting professional growth.
– Operational Oversight: Oversee all aspects of the Comm Center, ambulance deployment, and coordination to ensure effectiveness.
– Resource Allocation: Efficiently allocate ambulance units based on location, urgency, and available resources, while maintaining optimal ETA’s.
– Process Optimization: Continuously assess and improve dispatching procedures to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and overall performance.
– Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with dispatching protocols, guidelines, and regulatory standards, maintaining the highest level of customer service.
– Training and Development: Provide training, coaching, and ongoing development to dispatchers to enhance their technical skills and communication abilities.
– Data Analysis: Utilize data-driven insights to monitor key performance metrics, identify trends, and make informed decisions to enhance dispatch operations.
– Collaboration: Collaborate closely with other departments, including operations, billing, and administration, to ensure seamless cross-functional coordination.
– Emergency Preparedness: Develop and update emergency response plans, ensuring dispatchers are well-equipped to handle a variety of scenarios.
Qualifications
– Bachelor’s degree (preferred).
– Proven experience in ambulance dispatching or emergency services, with a minimum of 2 years in a leadership or managerial role(preferred).
– Strong leadership and team management skills, with a track record of effectively leading and developing teams.
– Proficiency in dispatching software, GPS systems, and communication devices.
– Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
– Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
– Problem-solving mindset and the ability to make quick decisions under pressure.
– Flexibility to work in rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
