Responsibilities
Duties: The Display Systems Engineer at CNH Industrial America LLC in Burr Ridge, Illinois will be responsible for driving the timely, efficient, and cost-effective design of agriculture and construction equipment display and cluster products. Develop requirements and associated system architecture, system designs, test cases, and acceptance criteria. Interface with the Vehicle Integration Engineers to ensure that the displays are successfully integrated into the target vehicle electrical systems. Harmonize the UI/UX HMI designs with the display component software design. Work with the Safety Engineers to fulfill the necessary Functional Safety requirements (ISO25119). Work with the Network Architecture team to ensure that the displays and clusters meet all applicable protocol standards and performance requirements. Troubleshoot problems and develop root cause through hardware and software failure analysis and testing. Support plants, suppliers, and customers with resolving issues. Support the Project Manager(s) with System Engineering estimates and resource planning. Actively assisting the Project Manager with managing external supplier(s) to ensure that their deliverables meet the project requirements and overall project needs. Aid Project Managers with resource planning. Develop future roadmaps to maximize design commonality for display and cluster products across all vehicle product lines. Salary: $134,120-156,000/year.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements: Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering or directly related field plus five years of experience in product development and developing displays for automotive or commercial vehicles. The five years of experience must include two years of experience with each of the following: 1) developing system requirements, system architecture, system design, and test cases; 2) automotive in-vehicle communications architectures and protocols including CAN, J1939, LIN; 3) creating test plans and test scripts using Python and C++; 4) using CANalyzer for vehicle data measurement and analysis; 5) using MATLAB, Simulink for system development and analysis; 6) UML diagrams for system interfaces and user interfaces; and 7) a requirements management tool.
