We are looking for an Architect for the Security team to lead existing future designs of security products and features. We seek folks with experience designing and building Layer 4 to Layer 7 and above security products and features.

This role is both an internal and external component.

Internal aspects of this role:

The candidate is expected to assist in designing and architecting current and new features on the SRX product line. The candidate would understand both physical (Hardware: CPU, memory, TRIO, etc.) and Virtual products (Containers, Virtual machines). Juniper security products revolve around Next-Gen Firewalls; hence the candidate should be very familiar with the features, products, and type of products the competition develops and delivers here.

External aspects of this role:

The candidate would help with RFPs and participate in EBC and customer events including escalations.

Is an Architect: either a super-coder, or a former super-coder, and outwardly focused. Has cross-domain experience, and expert-level understanding of fundamentals of software engineering, agile programming, debugging, and how to build quality products.

Writes most complicated functional specifications. Reviews design documentation and code review. Creates methodologies and standards. Files patents.

EXPERIENCE: Typically requires a minimum of 15 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 12 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD with 8 years’ experience; or equivalent experience

Minimum Salary: $207,200.00

Maximum Salary:$297,850.00

The pay range for this position is expected to be between $207,200.00 and $297,850.00/year; however, the base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position also includes medical benefits, 401(k) eligibility, vacation, sick time, and parental leave. Additional details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.

If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

Juniper’s pay range data is provided in accordance with local state pay transparency regulations. Juniper may post different minimum wage ranges for permanent residency petitions pursuant to US Department of Labor requirements.
