Technical Services Lead, Fleet
Position Overview
The TSL is a customer-facing role with primary duties of deploying 12 volt technology solutions in fleet vehicles. The TSL will provide day-to-day direction to the employees and contractors while maintaining a professional attitude and strong focus on total implementation experience.
What you’ll do at Insight
- Lead a team of installer technicians and site operations
- Provide initial onboarding training for the proper installation and use of client’s hardware and software
- Conduct final quality check of all installed equipment
- Conduct training sessions with customer technical points or contact and end users on client’s specific product applications.
- Provide install guidance/assistance as required
- Provide troubleshooting assistance and escalation on issues
- Validate the quality of 12V DC sub-contractor installations
- Serve as a SME for low voltage electrical systems and light mechanical work (removing lower dash, panels, airboxes, batteries etc)
- Provide your own tools EG: (wrenches, sockets, wire cutters/strippers, portable soldering iron, portable drill, etc.)
- Demonstrate competence in troubleshooting which includes use of tools such as a multimeter
What you’ll need to join Insight
- 3+ Years of advanced computer network implementation including systems software, Windows operating systems and applications software, hardware, and configurations, (A+, Network + or equivalent preferred)
- Be comfortable working with vehicle electrical systems, and know the basics of working safely around 12 volt technology.
- Adapt to changes in priorities
- Know proper methods of soldering electrical wires and crimp connections
- Strong acumen for network cabling and network devices (basic networking principles)
- Cradlepoint router or equivalent configuration knowledge a plus
- Experience working in cars, SUVs or RV/Campers
- Excellent customer service skills. Polite, professional, well-spoken
- Reliable personal transportation
- Work both independently and in a team
- Other duties as assigned.

Travel Requirements
This role requires daily travel of up to 100 miles often spending 3-4 nights per week away from home for assignments where it is not practical to drive and work an 8 hour shift. Also, up to 20% of travel will be greater than 100 miles and would assume the candidate is away for a 5 day work week.
- Almost 100% travel, but 80% focused on sites within 100 miles of central location
