Position Summary
The USA Triathlon (USAT) Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Access Manager works across the organization to align and distribute DEIA goals and objectives. The DEIA Manager must lead with compassion and serve USAT staff, membership, and all stakeholders to educate, analyze data, implement best practices. Recommends solutions for areas of improvement as they relate to DEIA.

Essential Job Functions
- Provide expertise and perspective on all DEIA matters. Offer unique guidance, inspire innovation, and influence others through compassion, empathy, and strategic leadership.
- Lead and manage DEIA across the organization ensuring implementation of DEIA practices and initiatives in conjunction with all other organizational priorities and department goals.
- Anticipate stakeholder needs and develop and recommend potential solutions. Initiate open and candid coaching conversations within the scope of the role.
- Apply industry relevant diversity, equity, inclusion, and access knowledge to advance continuous improvements. Introduce innovative ways to advance equitable practices within USAT and the multisport community at large.
- Stay current on DEIA best practices, programs, and trends by developing relationships with other professionals in the field (e.g., professional association and educational groups, professional development efforts, etc.).
- Represent DEIA within the Olympic and Paralympic Movement, and the Sports Industry as a whole, as a spokesperson who communicates professionally, collaboratively and confidently to audiences of all sizes to drive and foster inclusivity and belonging. Advocate for diversity, equity, and inclusion in interactions and within the workplace.
- Serve as the Staff Liaison to USA Triathlon’s Women’s Committee and DEIA Task Force (Activated as needed).
- Oversee the compilation of all required DEIA reporting and nominations, including the Annual USOPC NGB DE&I Scorecard report and the USOPC NGB DE&I Choice Award Nomination.
- Working closely with the Legal and Compliance team, review, update, and maintain USAT’s DEIA-related policies.
- Plan and execute the annual Together We Thrive: Actions for Change DEIA Summit and Together We Thrive Student Summit.

- Demonstrated ability to work in fast-paced multidisciplinary team environment
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Sport Management, Communication, Social Justice, Human Rights, or a related field required.
- Three to Five years’ experience working in DEIA; showing growth and expanded leadership and influence within roles.
- Prefer familiarity with the sport of triathlon and or NGB operations.
