PSEG is seeking a summer intern to work with the Nuclear Procurement Operations team

Location: Position is based in Hancocks Bridge, NJ but will be remote.

The candidate will be part of the Engage Project team and will assist with the required testing for the project that will streamline the repair process and update the shipping database. The candidate will also be involved with a parts initiative, reviewing lead times for accuracy and updating the system as necessary.

Job Responsibilities

Responsible for performing routine supply chain functions to support the procurement analysts, ability to process, issue and distribute documents in a quality, timely and efficient manner. Prepare/perform functions to include compile data, contact vendors and provide/update purchase order information as required.

Must be able to work as a cooperative team member. Perform multiple tasks and assignments, with minimal guidance with a strong attention to detail. Provide support on a variety of functions related to the department. Collects and prepares data for a variety of reports, correspondence and documents..

Job Specific Qualifications

Required Education/Skills: The successful candidate (s) must be actively pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Operations or similar Business related major. Candidate must have completed Sophomore level coursework by the start of the internship program to be considered. PSEG recognizes institutions of higher education, which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent. Must meet Nuclear requirements for unescorted plant access.

Preferred Skills:

GPA of 3.0 or above

All PSEG internship roles are paid at an hourly rate, however there are no benefits associated with these positions. Candidates are expected to work 40 hours per week over the summer period and as business needs warrant. We are targeting currently enrolled students that are able to commute to their work locations as needed. Housing, transportation, immigration Support will not be provided in association with these positions.
