The Divisional Controller is responsible for accounting, budgeting and financial reporting for an assigned division, office or market. Responsibilities:
- Lead month end closing for the division, office or market.
- Review and maintain appropriate accounting guidelines and controls to substantiate. transactions, journal entries on a per entity basis and accuracy and completeness. Ensures timely collection of income and accounts receivable.
- Deliver timely and accurate monthly, quarterly management reporting in compliance with US GAAP standards.
- Perform financial analysis of results and presents to management personnel on a monthly basis.
- Liaise with Operations teams monthly and/or as requests.
- Manage Accounts Receivable shared service teams (including invoicing, cash receipts, collections, and order management).
- Coordinate and provide financial support to External and Internal Auditors during the year.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls (SOX).
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience required; CPA preferred
- 10+ years of experience in prior accounting/finance experience
- 8+ years of experience in General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Asset, and payroll
- 5-8 years of supervisory experience
- Public Accounting Experience
- Knowledge in an Accounting Software Package
The salary range for this role is $120,000-$135,000

Position Summary
The Divisional Controller is responsible for accounting, budgeting and financial reporting for an assigned division, office or market. Responsible for the supervision, support and direction of subordinates.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Makes journal entries as required to maintain accurate General Ledger and Balance Sheet for the division, office or market
- Completes year-end closing. Generates and distributes Profit & Loss statements to management personnel on a monthly basis. Responds to income statement questions as needed.
- Runs Activity Reports and distributes to managers on a monthly basis
- Manages Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable before monthly closing
- Assists with various accounting functions and problem resolution as needed
- Responsible for Bank Reconciliation function
- Interacts with Auditors at year-end
- Ensures compliance with internal controls
- Provides financial analysis for Operations monthly and/or as requested
- Supervise and direct the work of subordinates

Hires, retains, trains, coaches, guides, directs, and develops direct reports using company-wide processes, tools and resources
Indirect Reports
May delegate work of others and provide guidance, direction and mentoring to indirect reports
Travel and/or Driving Requirements
- Travel is an essential duty and function of this job. Driving is not an essential duty or function of this job.
- Travel up to 5 – 10%
Minimum Qualifications
The following are the minimum job-related qualifications which an individual needs in order to successfully perform the essential duties and responsibilities of the job
Education Level:
- (Required): Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
Field of Study/Area of Experience: Accounting or other related fields
- 10+ years of experience in prior accounting/finance experience
- 8+ years of experience in General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Asset, and payroll
- 5-8 years of supervisory experience
- Public Accounting Experience
- CPA preferred
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
- Good interpersonal skills
- Well-organized, detail-oriented, and able to handle a fast-paced work environment
- Ability to understand and follow specific instructions and procedures
- Knowledge in an Accounting Software Package
- Strong computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook, and web-browsers
- Job costing knowledge preferred

Incumbent must be able to perform the essential functions of the job. Work is performed primarily in an office environment. Typically requires the ability to sit for extended periods of time (66%+ each day), ability to hear the telephone, ability to enter data on a computer and may also require the ability to lift up to 10 pounds.
