Our client, a mid-size Boston law firm, is seeking a paralegal to join our fast-paced Domestic Relations Department.
Qualified candidates will have 5+ years of domestic relations paralegal experience. Must be able to coordinate and take primary responsibility for preparing Rule 401 financial statements; preparing and responding to discovery requests, including Rule 410; preparing complaints for divorce, modification and contempt; scheduling matters with the court; basic drafting of motions; preparing subpoenas; and managing deadlines. Must be knowledgeable about the rules of Domestic Relations Procedure and familiar with the pleadings and procedures.
• Preparation of draft estate plan documents and final documents for execution • Drafting letters, creating estate planning binders, maintaining client files with current estate plans, and handling transmission of original estate plan documents to firm vault • Preparation of probate documents and filing packages for probate court • Assisting with monthly client billing to include reviewing and editing of pre-bills and sending final invoices to clients • Calendar maintenance and appointment setting • Maintaining Outlook contacts • Setting up new client matters, including drafting fee agreements and engagement letters
Successful candidates will have experience working with clients in all aspects of divorce cases, strong organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to work with multiple attorneys and excellent time and workflow management skills. Paralegal certificate is a plus. Must be proficient in Excel.
