Description

SUMMARY

Responsible for overseeing the day to day operations, supervising a designated donation center location. Major duties include receiving donations, giving receipts, assisting with lifting items, auditing processes, opening/closing donation center, providing timely communication to leadership, and providing direct supervision of Donation Xpress center staff.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES

  1. Motivate, train and retain Donation Xpress center staff
  2. Provide timely communication to donation center staff, Donation Xpress Management, and Transportation
  3. Maintain accurate records for location, ensure proper flow of information, and monitor accuracy of donor tally
  4. Submit truck order requests per schedule
  5. Submit work orders as needed
  6. Order maintenance and production supplies
  7. Communicate open positions to leadership
  8. Open and close Donation Xpress center
  9. Maintain Kaizen of processing system
  10. Track daily efficiencies and production of totes by Donation Xpress Attendant(s)
  11. Complete new hire training checklist
  12. Complete monthly Safety meetings
  13. Provide feedback to supervisory staff on production employee performance
  14. Help maintain donation and processing functions to ensure achievement of objectives
  15. Conduct weekly donor service meeting with Donation Xpress center staff
  16. Perform all duties outlined in the Donation Xpress Attendant job description.
  17. Oversee the day to day operations of assigned Donation Xpress location
  18. Ensure appropriate staff coverage covering shifts as needed
  19. Maintain well-groomed appearance following dress code policy
  20. Conduct/participate in audits as required

ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES

  1. Keep immediate supervisor informed of problems and suggestions
  2. Follow Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) procedures and other Public Protection Guidelines
  3. Perform other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS/COMPETENCIES

Education and/or Experience:

Previous retail and/or stock handling experience is preferred One (1) year of supervisory experience preferred

Math Ability:

Level 1: Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.

Computer Skills:

Intermediate level of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Internet browsers

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position has supervisory responsibilities but no subordinate supervisors

Physical and Environmental Requirements:

  1. Regularly lift and /or move up to 40 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds with assistance
  2. Vision abilities required by this job include: close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
  3. Standing and walking for long periods of time
  4. Ability to stoop, bend, kneel, push and pull
  5. Sufficient mobility to turn from side to side and the ability to lean and remove items from containers
  6. Perform work outside and inside; exposure to weather conditions, dust, dirt, electricity, noise, fumes and chemicals

Language Ability:

Level 2: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.

Reasoning Ability:

Level 2: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
