Driller Helper

Description

Job Duties:
• Assist drillers with soil samples, move drill rods, mix fluids, and handle core samples
• Assist with equipment repair, clean equipment, hauling supplies and equipment
• Assist others as requested or assigned
• Perform related duties as required

Requirements:

• Driller Helper experience is preferred, but willing to train the right candidate, math skills
• Surface MSHA certification is required (client will provide if not already certified)
• Experience working with tractors, water trucks, pipe wrenches, and forklifts is beneficial
• Able to work independently and as part of a team, cooperating with many levels of management
• Have an awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions
• Able to follow directions completely, accurately, and consistently
• Required Availability: weekdays, weekends, holidays, and overtime: Rotations vary
• Able to successfully complete Reference Check, Background Check, and Drug Screen

Physical Demands:

• The employee is regularly required to stand, bend and twist, use hands and fingers, handle or feel, talk, hear, and reach above the shoulder with hands and arms
• Physically capable of sitting or standing, shoveling, and performing other types of physical work for long periods of time
• The employee is occasionally required to climb, balance, kneel, crouch, crawl, walk and sit
• Must be able to lift and carry repetitively up to 100 -lbs. through a full shift
• The employee regularly performs repetitive work involving use of hands and wrists
• The employee is frequently required to walk on uneven or slippery surfaces
• Vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
• Good eye-to-hand coordination is essential
