Description

GENERAL PURPOSE

This position is responsible for delivering and picking up customer linen in a timely and professional manner within assigned routes utilizing delivery vehicles like box trucks and/or cargo vans.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Operates a delivery vehicle (box trucks, cargo van) assigned by the company to the driver with an established or alternate route as scheduled.
  • Delivering carts (metros) in the most time-efficient manner and collecting signed delivery tickets.
  • Validates the content of delivery by performing a reconciliation of carts (metros) to be delivered to customer and from customer.
  • Performs pre and post-delivery vehicle (box trucks, cargo van) inspections daily.
  • Maintains the condition of the delivery vehicle (box trucks, van) clean and disinfected, based on company protocol and guidelines.
  • When ending the shift, the delivery vehicle (box trucks, cargo van) must have a full gas tank.
  • Provides reports about any maintenance issues related to the delivery vehicle (box trucks, cargo van) or any other concerns.
  • Ensures compliance with regulatory and company policies and procedures.
  • Adheres to all traffic rules and DOT regulations.
  • Must be punctual and stringent about timings and make no delays in deliveries.
  • Must be prepared to work in any traffic pattern, severe weather, and strict deadlines according to our business needs.
  • Must always be in full uniform provided by the company.
  • Will always provide professional and courteous service to our customers and their staff.
  • Will communicate with Logistic Manager any customer or route concerns.
  • Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must have a High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license Class B.
  • Must have a valid medical card.
  • Must have 1 or more years of related experience.
  • Must have a clean driving record.
  • Must be able to pass a drug and background test.
  • Must have excellent customer service skills.
  • Must be able to work independently, be responsible for routes, and work unsupervised 90% of the time.
  • Must have a clear understanding of the importance of meeting deadlines and commitments.
  • The ability to effectively meet customer needs.
  • Candidates will be subject to all DOT pre-hire requirements.
