Essential Job Functions
- Operates vehicle to transport participants, staff, or visitors to various locations and activities.
- Maintains vehicle; checks oil and transmission fluid; sweeps vehicle out at the end of each day; fills vehicle with gas; inspects vehicle daily.
- Operates radio to communicate with personnel while in vehicle.
- Maintains vehicle record, including records of mileage.
- Advises supervisor of vehicle problems.
- May provide information of interest to visitors regarding city landmarks and points of interest.
- May perform the duties of a Recreational Leader as needed.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED; with one year of experience in transporting people and maintenance of related automotive equipment; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Must possess a valid driver’s license, may require CDL license, and ability to read and understand maps required.
Work Schedule: Monday – Friday 8:00a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Work Location: 1410 Richards St. Savannah, GA (Moses Jackson Community Center)

Background investigation, including supervised drug screen, post offer/pre-employment medical screen; and verification of education, certifications, and licenses required prior to employment.

Minimum Standards
SUPERVISORY CONTROLS: The Program Coordinator and the Parks and Recreation Director assigns work in terms of somewhat general instructions. The supervisor spot-checks completed work for compliance with instructions and established procedures, accuracy, and the nature and propriety of the final results.
GUIDELINES: Guidelines include city and department policies and procedures. These guidelines are generally clear and specific but may require some interpretation in application.
