Devereux/TCV Community Services is hiring immediately for a Casual Drug and Alcohol Outpatient Therapist! Flexible Hours: Monday, Tuesday and/or Thursday, Daylight and Evening Hours, as needed. Hourly rate from $25.19 to $30.56!

What to Expect: Devereux/TCV is currently seeking a dedicated and responsible person to fill our part time Drug and Alcohol Outpatient Therapist role for our Alternatives Program located on the South Side in Pittsburgh, PA.

Position Type: Casual, Monday, Tuesday and/or Thursday, with daytime and evening hours as needed.

We are looking for a person who believes in a strengths-based approach, is familiar with current treatment practices, and uses positive practices to help guide their everyday activities. The casual Drug and Alcohol Outpatient Therapist position is designed to be a member of a multidisciplinary team working with other therapists, nurses, service coordinators, support staff, administrators, and psychiatrists. This position is constructed to:

  • Provide focused treatment for a caseload of chemically dependent individuals. Utilize professional clinical skills to conduct initial drug and alcohol assessments, facilitate group therapy, provide individual therapy and family therapy (as needed), case management, and crisis intervention according to organizational and program policies and procedures.
  • Develop individualized treatment and aftercare plans with clients in compliance with State regulations.
  • Record in an accurate and timely manner all interactions with, or on behalf of, the client. Complete all paperwork and documentation as required by State and County regulations and TCV policies/procedures.
  • Meet productivity standards.
  • Coordinate referrals to agencies, programs, and/or individuals to assist clients in obtaining supportive and ancillary services.
  • Work in conjunction with the legal system, probation and parole to provide confidential and effective treatment to forensic clients.
  • Attend and complete State and agency required trainings.
  • Renew licensure and certification according to requirements of credentialing bodies. Develop a plan for individual professional development with immediate supervisor on an annual basis.
  • Participate in supervisory consultation.
  • Complete supervisory case reviews with immediate supervisory in a timely manner.
  • Maintain professional boundaries with clients at all times.
  • Work productively and professionally with D&A treatment, support, and supervisory team.

Position Qualifications

  • Master’s degree from an accredited university in a social services discipline (i.e., Psychology, Social Work or Counseling) and one (1) year of practical/clinical experience.
  • Pennsylvania LPC, LCSW, or PhD in Clinical Psychology preferred.
  • American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM) Certification preferred
  • Bilingual a plus.
