Job Description
PSE’s Communications Initiatives team is looking for a communications and public engagement profession alto join our dynamic team! The Communications Initiatives Program Manager will be responsible for the effective management and implementation of the communications and public outreach strategy for some of PSE’s most complex infrastructure projects.
PSE aspires to be a beyond net zero carbon company by 2045. This position will be integral in telling our story about how PSE’s infrastructure projects fit into that goal while providing safe, clean and reliable energy service for our customers and communities.

Job Responsibilities
- Develops and implements communications components and/or public outreach of strategic company projects, initiatives, and issues, providing support to other initiative teams as needed.
- Assisting in the development, coordination, and implementation of the project plan. This includes the communications, public affairs, and technical components of the project or initiatives providing support to other projects/initiative team members as needed. Must understand the overall goal and strategy of the plan, as well as how the tactics interconnect.
- Producing communications collateral, and implementing communications tools.
- Identifies opportunities to evolve PSE’s communication strategies and approaches, including new technology, engagement strategies, and processes
- Acting as a customer advocate.
- Raising issues on the customers’ behalf, and working with the Project Managers to address customer concerns.
- Assisting in managing and answering customer questions in coordination with outreach and customer care team members.
- Engaging directly with customers, answering questions, and acting as a liaison between the customer and project teams.
- Coordinating with internal groups to ensure information is being shared with customer-facing employees and cohesive public outreach strategies and plans are developed.
- Performs emergency and storm duties.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, media, business innovation, marketing, strategic leadership/management or related field, and 5 years relevant work experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proven experience in managing increasingly complex projects with cross-functional teams and in an ever-changing and fast-paced environment.
- Ability to manage projects, work with other departmental teams and deliver on commitments.
- Ability to contribute effectively in peer management teams.
- Skills and experience in collaboration and team building.
- Practical and successful application of community or employee engagement strategies and tactics including the use of new media applications.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office tools.

- Broad knowledge of gas and electric utility rates, business objectives, to include operations, customer service, finance, and corporate relations.

The pay range for this position is $67,200.00 – $104,400.00, and this position is eligible for annual goals based incentive bonuses.
