Job Summary:

The Program Coordinator will work to enhance the Child Care Quality Improvement and Support System

in Kansas by implementing a Shared Service Network Hub. This position is responsible for, but not limited

to, assisting childcare providers in identifying common program needs, such as human resource services,

marketing and workforce support and then facilitating coordination and implementation of the agreed

upon shared services.

Salary Range:

$45,820 – $72,480

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Recruits members for the Shared Service Hub.
  • Identify the needs of the members of the Shared Service within the approved geographic area.
  • Ensure the Shared Service Network Hub provides support around business practices, staffing support, and facilitates connection/referrals for participating members to existing support services related to high-quality care practices.
  • Completes research and vetting of agreed upon service providers
  • Create and facilitate an advisory group
  • Collects data for required reporting
  • Attends provider and Shared Service Hub meetings
  • Provide training and/or coaching to early care and education providers as needed.
  • Serve on the Systems committee on the ECE team.
  • Attend TFC meetings, as assigned by the ECE director.
  • Establish relationships with TFC staff to collaborate and utilize existing resources that will strengthen department initiatives.
  • Ensure effective team communication using email, team meetings, and other communication methods.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or Elementary Education or related field.
  • At least three years related experience.
  • Bilingual fluency in written and oral English/Spanish preferred.
  • Master’s in Early Childhood Education preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds at times.
