eCommerce Analytics & Publications Specialist

The American Hospital Association (AHA) is a national organization that represents and serves all types of hospitals, health care networks, and their patients and communities. The AHA has two main offices, located in Washington, D.C. and Chicago. We are currently seeking an eCommerce Analytics & Publications Specialist for our downtown Chicago office. This position is a hybrid role (three days in the office, two days working remote).

Starting base salary = $61,000 – $75,000 a year (commensurate with related experience).

The eCommerce & Publications Specialist streamlines revenue-based reporting measures for the American Hospital Association’s online store and associated properties. In this role, the candidate packages and synthesizes various data reports into a readable and easy-to-analyze format to distribute among internal and external stakeholders. Responsibilities include management of outside vendors including BrightKey (publications warehouse and fulfillment) and other clients. This may include collections, basic auditing and ad-hoc reporting to internal stakeholders. Serves as a subject matter expert on product listings, publication inventory, purchase pathways and revenue reporting for the AHA Online Store.

  1. Working with the digital strategy team, serves as a resident expert on AHA Online Store revenue generation and reporting. Report development, creation and presentation will be key in this role. This position is responsible for aggregating data and monitoring revenue reports for print and digital AHA publications and all other online store sales.
  2. Responsible for contractual relationship with the outside vendor responsible for order fulfillment services for AHA and its affiliated units and companies; identifies and resolves problems and issues that interfere with the strategic and operational goals of the relationship (collections, product management, etc.).
  3. Ensures that the outside warehouse and fulfillment vendor (BrightKey, et al) meets all of its contractual obligations, its high-performance standards, and AHA’s goal of having a well-managed order-processing and fulfillment operation that adequately meets the needs of members and other customers, as well as meets the service requirements of internal units dependent upon the vendor.
  4. Monitors overall customer satisfaction with services delivered; ensures that satisfaction levels meet established standards through competent management of the working relationship with the outside vendor.
  5. Manages the interaction of all AHA product owners with the outside vendor on all matters related to product descriptions, order processing, order fulfillment, inventory management, and report generation; troubleshoots and resolves issues as needed.
  6. Reviews, analyzes and reports vendor’s monthly invoices for overall accuracy, proper cost allocations and other financial management considerations.
  7. Supports collaborative cultural change toward digital activation as an organization-wide digital analytics thought leader, technical navigator and educator; supports digital analytics strategy as part of the communications department.
  8. Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
