Church Pension Group (CPG) is a financial services firm located in Midtown Manhattan. CPG was founded in 1917 to provide pension benefits to eligible clergy of the Episcopal Church. Since then, its mission has expanded to include life and disability insurance, health benefits, property & casualty insurance, and publishing.
Content & Creative Services (CCS) is responsible for creating compelling communications that support CPG’s strategic plan and our three lines of business. Using traditional and digital media, CCS will give voice to our work by broadcasting key messages, developing curricula, sharing information, and helping business partners drive engagement with the products, programs, and services that CPG offers.
The Education Content Specialist will be responsible for maintaining ownership of and working closely with other writers and colleagues to develop all business-to-business educational engagement content, including e-learning modules, infographics, and related podcast and video scripts. You will work across CPG to help ensure that all materials include a clear focus on both audience needs and appropriate messaging.

Effective performance of the essential functions of this position requires regular in-person, on-site interaction with colleagues, both for purposes of relationship building and meaningful collaboration.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Develop online educational curriculum and e-learning module content for business-to-business stakeholders, highlighting the products, programs, and services offered or administered by CPG
- Develop and edit animated videos
- Create infographics
- Develop podcast scripts and produce podcasts
- Work with cross-departmental teams to ensure that prepared work includes a clear focus on both audience needs and key CPG messaging

- Outstanding written and oral communications
- Experience in designing and developing engaging educational content and learning programs
- Ability to develop online curricula, e-learning courses, and facilitator guides
- Familiarity with best practices in online education and engagement
- Experience in evaluating and documenting impact of learning programs
- Ability to think critically and to clearly communicate abstract or complex issues, ideas, challenges, and solutions
- A proven track record of accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
- Ability to quickly garner an understanding of CPG’s lines of business, its operations, and its products, programs, and services
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- BABS or combination of education and experience
- 4+ years relevant work experience
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Commuting to the office, on average, three days a week. Extensive use of a computer keyboard is a demand of the position to perform the essential functions of this job successfully. WORK ENVIRONMENT
Hybrid (two days working from home, three days working in a standard office environment). Salary Range: $67,800 – $86,400
