Description: The Education Services Specialist provides direct administrative support to the Assistant Superintendent of Education Services. Responsibilities include coordinating training and workshops, purchasing, budgeting department communications, data collection, analysis, reconciliation, and reporting on behalf of Education Services. Provides secondary level advice and direction to Education Services leaders and support personnel on behalf of the Assistant Superintendent.

Job Summary:

- Management of Training, Travel and Staff Development
- Manage and utilize data and information to support the effective operation and function of Educational Services.
- Purchasing and Reconciliation
- Administrative Liaison
- Performs other duties of a similar nature or as assigned.
Qualifications:
- AA degree or two years’ college coursework required. BA degree preferred in management or business.
- General knowledge of public education operations.
- Familiarity with public education regulations, requirements, and applicable state and federal statutes
- Must have excellent written and oral communications skills; ability to effectively communicate with co-workers and customers to aid in satisfying customer requests;
- Must be detail-oriented and have excellent computer skills (i.e., MS Office Suite), especially spreadsheets, and the ability to learn new computer program applications quickly.
- Must have excellent organizational skills and the ability to plan and prioritize work activities effectively.
- Must have excellent customer service skills; ability to deal tactfully and effectively in person, over the telephone, or via computer.
- Must have basic mathematical and general office skills, including the ability to safely and efficiently operate office equipment; ability to perform accurate mathematical calculations.
