Moog is looking for anEnvironmental, Health, Safety (EHS) and Facilities Managerfor our aerospace manufacturing plant in Torrance, CA. You will have overall responsibility for leading our EHS compliance activities, facilities, maintenance, security, and food services. The campus totals over 280,000 square feet with 700 employees and includes a machine shop, heat treat, chemical plating, waste treatment and assembly & test, with a large engineering population of 300. You will report to the Site General Manager and have an onsite work schedule.

As an EHS / Facilities Manager, you will:
- Manage and ensure that Federal and State EHS regulations applicable to the site are met.
- Implement site specific EHS policies and training programs to ensure compliance with the Site, Business Group and Corporate EHS requirements.
- Ensure regulatory permit requirements, reporting data and environmental management system procedures are monitored and updated as changes occur at the site to maintain compliance. Participate in the use and management of internal audit systems.
- Partner with all functional managers /supervisors on site to promote an EHS Culture.
- Lead role in representing the site during compliance audits, both internal and external. Assure audit findings are responded to, followed up on and corrected.
- Manage the Sites’ emergency planning; including being available 24/7 for responding to site EHS emergencies. This includes being the site’s lead emergency coordinator in emergencies involving hazardous materials releases or other safety affecting emergencies.
- Provide EHS support to Program Management and Engineering to support customer contract terms and conditions. Tasks may require creation of additional program specific hazardous materials management programs or implementation of industry specific certification programs.
- Manage a team of EHS Engineers and Facilities / Maintenance staff
- Provide technical support and troubleshoot equipment for improving EHS aspects/impacts.
- Develop and implement technologies that can provide the site with operational efficiencies which are also improving EHS within the workplace.
- Implement policies for environmental, remediation, security, safety, and other ancillary functions pertaining to site development and management.
- Provide technical and administrative direction for all activities associated with the task of providing ongoing facility services and machine maintenance services to the Torrance facility.
- Forecast and implement short and long range capital and expense budgets totaling over $12M.
- Manage major projects from conception through completion for new construction, utility installations and modifications. This includes the complete project management of all project phases including determination of user requirements, project organization, planning and budgeting, risk assessment, direction of in-house/ outside engineers and architects, community interface, regulatory agency approvals, permits, cost and schedule control, contractor selection, and construction oversight.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree (in EHS, Engineering or a Technical Discipline is desirable)
- 10+ years of experience implementing and managing EHS programs
- 5+ years of EHS experience in a Manufacturing Plant environment
- 3+ years of Facilities experience
- 4+ years of managerial/leadership experience

Salary range:
$130,000 – $180,000, annually
