Elect Design and Analysis Engineer 3

$56.69-$62.99/Hour

Responsibilities:
- Analyze customer and system requirements to develop basic architectural approaches and detailed specifications for various electronic products.
- Develop high-level and detailed designs consistent with requirements and specifications.
- Validate designs through various methods of review, testing and analysis.
- Identify, track and status technical performance measures to measure progress and ensure compliance with requirements.
- Support Supplier Management with make/buy recommendations and other technical services of limited scope.
- Provide engineering support throughout the lifecycle of the product.
- Investigate emerging technologies to develop concepts for future product designs to meet projected requirements.
- Work under general direction.
Qualifications:
- Bahcelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics or Chemistry combined with 5 + years of relevant work experience; or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience. In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
- Ability to Obtain Secret Clearance
- 25% Travel
- Must have previous experience in the defense or aerospace industry
- Must have at least 3 years of Experience in analyzing and translating requirements into system architecture, hardware and/or software design and interface specifications
- Must have at least 3 years of previous experience with DOORS Requirements Management Tool or similar
- Must be willing to travel up to 25% of the time as required
- Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- 5 or more years’ related work experience (Career Level)
- An ABET accredited Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a Master’s/PhD in electrical engineering
- Active U.S. Security Clearance
- Knowledge of digital signal processing
- Familiarity with Software tools: LTSpice, System Vision, PSPICE, MathCAD, AutoCAD, and Mentor DX Designer and Expedition
- Previous experience in Circuit design, including some of the following:
- Embedded processors
- High end FPGAs, SOC FPGAs, state-of-the-art memory devices
- Standard communications and storage protocols
- Low power FPGAs, CPLDs
- Power sequencing, monitoring, management
- Previous experience with developing and coordinating supplier design requirements
- Previous experience with system and circuit level fault isolation
- Previous experience with box level and card level test planning and procedures
- Experience with MS Office tool suite
- Experience developing and delivering presentations (verbal and/or written) to key stakeholders
