The Electrical and Instrument Technician Supervisor is responsible for scheduling critical utility plant maintenance pertaining to Instrument and Controls (I&C) and supervise a team of skilled Instrument and Controls (I&C) Technicians.
This position is located in Columbus, OH on the Ohio State University Campus and will report to the Automation Manager.
What you’ll do:
- Supervise I&C technicians and assists in performing system maintenance to identify and analyze failures and repair control equipment including Allen Bradley Programmable Logic Controllers, transmitters, analyzers, positioners, and utility system metering
- Develop and coordinate specific turnaround plans and calibration schedules with established turnaround schedules for plant assets
- Create and assign work orders that are tied to plant assets through the Maintenance Management Software
- Maintain I&C parts inventory and ordering, maintains maintenance repair records and equipment lists
- Complete performance evaluations, approve timesheets and manage shop personnel schedules
- Review and evaluate the need for tools, parts, and materials for I&C maintenance work
- Carry out other duties as assigned
What you bring:
- Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering; or work experience considered in lieu of specific degree
- A minimum five (5) years of experience in Instrumentation & Controls
- Demonstrated technical ability in the operation and maintenance of industrial systems
- Working knowledge of computers, programmable controllers, instrument and control equipment and calibration equipment
- Understanding of process diagrams, simple electrical diagrams, and operating instructions
- Experience with Microsoft Excel and Word

- Salary Range: $67,575-$167,310, annually
- Actual salary offered may vary depending on geography, experience, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors
- In addition to salary, this position is eligible for a competitive bonus / incentive plan
