Position at Wilsonart
Starting Pay: $30.00+/hour (Depending on Experience)
Characteristics of the Class: To maintain, repair, troubleshoot, and make modifications to the electrical / electronic functions of equipment and machinery throughout the facility. Perform other tasks as required.
Essential Job Functions:
- Maintain and update PLC programs (Allen-Bradley, Siemens)
- Daily inspection of Scienta Scanners, clean & troubleshoot as required
- Troubleshoot & repair VFDs (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, SEW)
- Troubleshoot & repair a variety of Automation machinery
- Follow all lockout / tagout procedures as required
- Participates in the Lean process
- Regular attendance required
Marginal Job Functions:
- Do P.M. sheets on scanner equipment plus maintain a clean work environment
- Communicate with vendors concerning new products, technical support and training
- Service and maintain ink jet printers
- Maintain and troubleshoot pneumatic systems
- Attend department Safety, Lean and Quality meetings
- Follow department and company safety guidelines
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
Education and Experience: Associate Degree in Electronic Technology or equivalent degree. Two years of industrial electronic experience preferred.
Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of safety standards applicable to the department and other pertinent rules/regulations governing work standards. Computer literate and basic knowledge of PLC, advanced PLC commands. Good understanding and working knowledge of digital circuits, controllers, and DC drives. Knowledge and use of electronic test equipment. Ability to perform multiple priorities with minimal supervision. Ability to interpret electrical blueprints and electrical schematics.
Physical Requirements: Medium work. Tasks involves pushing / pulling, lifting, and handling material up to 50 pounds plus standing and walking during a minimum eight hour shift.
