Summary
Responsible for concepting, designing, copywriting, coding, developing, proofing, and executing highly dynamic marketing emails in support of multiple business groups at Subaru, including Fixed Operations, Service, Distribution, Sales, and Marketing. Translates business needs of stakeholders into design and code, creating a positive customer experience; this process involves converting static design files into personalized email templates using HTML and CSS, ensuring that they are responsive, user-friendly, and visually appealing. Works within the Relationship Marketing team using the Adobe Experience platform and products to execute dynamic, multi-channel email marketing campaigns.
Primary Responsibilities
- Designs compelling emails based on user-centered design principles and email marketing industry best practices.
- Understands and implements accessibility web standards.
- Completes HTML/CSS coding and development for email using responsive design and email coding best practices as well as image creation, correction, and web image optimization.
- Collaborates with both internal and external marketing and creative teams to plan, create, and execute email campaigns.
- Leverages understanding of brand strategy and how it relates to creative development in order to act as a proactive leader on the team and beyond to help influence decisions regarding email design and customer interaction.
- Maintains necessary processes, controls, and procedures to ensure that email marketing campaigns are being deployed on time and flawlessly.
- Ensures that email content is engaging, on-brand, and aligned with market goals and consumer needs. Utilizes copywriting skills when writing content as needed, as well as effectively works with vendor partners to source and review written content and visual assets such as images and video.
- Makes creative presentations to project stakeholders as well as creative and metrics to Marketing executives.
Additional Responsibilities
- Provides support to both internal and vendor and agency partner teams regarding design language and proper language to meet Subaru of America (SOA) brand guidelines.
- Uses video assets to create graphic image animations.
- Develops digital assets, materials, and copy for SMS (text message) program.
- Stays up to date with email marketing trends, regulations, and best practices.
Required Skills & Abilities
- At least three (3) to five (5) years of experience working in an email-specific role .
- Expert-level proficiency in HTML/CSS.
- Intermediate-level experience with Java.
- Thorough understanding of the elements of good design, HTML / CSS production, and email-specific code requirements, especially for mobile responsive design.
- Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.
- Experience with Litmus or similar cross-browser testing software.
- Solid email-specific UI, UX, and interaction design skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint).
- Effective communication skills for both creative ideas/development and presentations. Ability to assess and recommend creative strategy to meet the needs of internal business owners.
- Experience with Adobe Experience Manager and/or Adobe Campaign is a plus, though not required.
Education: 4 Year college degree or equivalent experience
Work Environment: Hybrid Role – Remote work 2 days per week (After 90 Days Onboarding)

FLSA Status: Exempt
Salary Range: The recruiting base salary range for this full-time position is $79,000 – $112,500. Within the range, individual pay is determined by factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
