Amazon Relay Strategic Programs is looking for a data-driven, customer-obsessed email marketing manager to drive campaign strategy and execution for our email campaigns. In this role you will be responsible for helping to define and execute critical email marketing strategies in support of various business partners. This role will manage a queue of requests, including product related launches and promotional emails from strategy to execution. They will also support high volume events, as well as engagement emails across the customer journey.
This is a critical role on the Relay Marketing team as we look to scale acquisition, engagement, and retention efforts. This role will manage email campaigns across Marketo in support of all of the Relay organization. They will manage launch campaigns, prospecting, and campaign management. They will aim to become an Amazon Email Bar Raiser acting as an SME for email marketing working with Procurement, Creative, Product, Support, Legal, and PR.
They will support both the US and Canada and and all program types in both regions. They will help with briefs, setting KPIs, tracking the success, and more.
Key job responsibilities
– Manage email marketing campaigns in support of Relay business partners from gathering of requirements, design and development, to testing, launch, and reporting
– Partner within the Creative team to ensure on-brand, best-in-class content, tailored to appropriate carriers
– Leverage Marketo, in portal notifications, Pendo
– Build email programs and execute campaigns that drive awareness and engagement
– Work with stakeholders to build campaigns that inform carriers of launches, promotions, news, and events
– Create and test bar raising campaigns and templates that align content to customer preferences
– Analyze, report on, and optimize against key metrics including open rates, click through, searching and booking rate
– Recommend and implement iterative A/B testing to continually improve performance through optimized messaging and targeting
– Develop and lead an annual email marketing plan to align on key areas, maintain a project schedule, and make it visible to leadership
– Gain subject matter expertise in pain points and deliver proactive solutions
– Research and develop an iterative testing strategy to gain insights and improve the customer experience
– Work cross-functionally, and with senior leaders, to align channel initiatives with business goals
– Analyze cohorts and segment effectively to drive engagement
– Track email best practices, industry trends, and make proactive recommendations
– Monitor request process and identify efficiencies to improve requestor experience and improve SLA
About the team
This role will be a part of the Strategic Programs team supporting Amazon Relay that contains Acquisition Marketing, Communications, Value Added Services and Supplier DEI. This is a new role and we are looking for a self starter that can build a framework from the ground up and is comfortable with ambiguity and a start up environment.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
– Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, communication, computer science, or other related field
– 5+ years experience with marketing automation platforms, direct experience on Marketo required
– 5+ years experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional email marketing campaigns (including automated flows) from concept to completion; including testing, sending, and reporting
– 5+ years of professional marketing experience
– 5+ years experience using analytical tools to measure performance, determine improvements and innovations, and make adjustments accordingly
– 5+ years of basic HTML and/or XML, plus the ability to learn our in-house analytics tools quickly
– 5+ years experience creating campaign strategies and running multi-lingual campaigns when a translation is required
– 5+ years experience using customer research, data and metrics to back up assumptions, generate forecasts, and assess the efficacy of programs
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
– Proven experience presenting metrics and progress to goal to senior leadership
– Attention to detail, excellent organization skills, and ability to manage multiple projects and responsibilities
– Experience in B2C and digital advertising
– Experience in transportation industry marketing
– Strong execution capability with highest standards in a rapidly evolving business
– Ambitious self-starter with demonstrated ability and willingness to roll up sleeves to get the job done
– Strong drive for results with the ability to manage independently
– Excellent written and verbal communication skills
– Experience working cross-functionally across Procurement, Product, Marketing, PR, and Legal

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $64,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $155,200/year in our highest geographic market.
