Salary: $75,000 – $85,000/year

Job Summary

This position manages portions of the Employee Relations department to ensure PMC is following federal, state, and company related policies, laws and regulations. Interacts with all levels of organizations leadership regarding employee relations, legal compliance, investigations, discipline, terminations, and separations. Works with a great deal of independent discretion in decision making and execution of responsibilities.

Duties and Responsibilities:

As PMC’s Employee Relations Manager, your areas of responsibility will fall into several categories.

  • Corrective Action/Performance management: work with people managers to create and deliver corrective action as needed (verbal/written warnings, PIPs, Last Chance Agreements)
  • Resolve sensitive/escalated Employee Relations issues and investigations (i.e., claims/concerns of discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and workplace violence) with general supervisor support as needed. Complete investigations and conduct fact finding including in-person or online interviews of parties involved. Provide written investigative reports, and implement action steps.
  • Team Building: Using provided tools such as the Predictive Index, work with teams to understand how they operate individually, and how to improve team dynamics
  • Leave Management: point of contact for employees and managers for all Leaves of Absence (medical, family, military, work comp). Provide information to employees and people managers, manage claims for work comp or disability, maintain employee status in Paylocity, track any necessary documentation.
  • Training Development: Lead in the scheduling, development, and delivery of learning initiatives for the organization. Primarily, the content supports the Operations staff on leadership topics by developing the schedule, content and delivery of materials.
  • Contribute to formal responses to outside agencies (lawsuits, EEOC, Unemployment)

Requirements

The successful candidate will be an experienced and demonstrated HR professional. In addition, they will have a proven track record of managing HR functions for a multi-site healthcare organization.

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree Required.
  • Experience: Minimum of five years
  • Intermediate computer skills including Microsoft office suite and HRIS.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and use resources when needed.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate with stakeholders on all levels, including Senior Management.
  • Professional presence and credibility, relationship building, organizational savvy.
