About the role:

The Manager of Employee Relations leads employee relations function for the company. The Manager of Employee Relations directs a team of ER Specialists, providing support and guidance on a broad spectrum of HR topics while developing and maintaining a consultative relationship with team members and business leaders across the Premise Health organization.

Job Requirements:
• Leads a team of Employee Relations Specialists focused on providing consultative ER support to team members and managers while providing support to an existing client base
• Oversees day-to-day operations of the employee relations (ER) service delivery model and programs
• Oversees issues pertaining to ER, performance management, and employee discipline including investigations, dispute resolution, and workplace concerns.
• Serves as escalation point for team member grievances
• Utilizes data to transition from reactive “fire-fighting” into broader, evidence-based strategies
• Assists with or designs, plans and implements ER programs, policies and procedures
• Advises employees and management at all levels regarding ER policies and procedures
• Serves as lead ER consultant on matters such as reorganization and reductions in force; facilitates ER and legal review
• Partners with VP, HR on policy governance and oversight for all HR Policies.
• Interprets policies and procedures for managers and team members
• Conducts internal audits in compliance with policies and regulations
• Conducts training on topics such as ADA, FMLA, and union avoidance
• Stays abreast of labor law, compliance, and labor relations climate; communicates findings and recommends changes when needed

Education:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Human Resource Management, or related field preferred or equivalent work experience
• HR certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP preferred

Experience:
• Able to manage a team while maintaining a client base.
• Excellent time management / multitasking skills including prioritizing/organizing and tracking details and meeting deadlines of multiple complex issues.
• Highly effective problem-solving skills with demonstrated flexibility and solution-orientation.
• Strong detail orientation, analytical skills and creative problem-solving ability
• Knowledge of laws and regulations relating to labor and employee relations
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal)
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with, and influence, team members at all levels
• Ability to analyze complex information, and to define and solve problems
• Ability to conduct confidential enterprise-wide investigations on critical employee relations matters and present findings and recommendations
• Ability to translate data and analytics into proactive actions

While a number of factors influence salary, our estimated California, Colorado, and New York compensation is $85,000-105,000. Please note, this is a general guideline and your experience qualifications, geographic location, and other factors will be taken into consideration.
