Description
Position Summary: Responsible for administering, coordinating, and implementing Unity’s recruitment and selection programs to decrease turnover and increase the availability of qualified applicants who meet Unity’s strategic and operating needs from entry-level, administrative up to professional level positions across Unity.
Schedule: July-September, 20-29 hours per week
Pay: $20.00-$24.00/hr.
Essential Job Functions (functions essential to the job):
- Ensure Requisition forms are completed and approved; work with hiring managers to ensure job requirements and expectations are clearly understood and candidates are assessed against appropriate criteria.
- Create announcements, review selection criteria used in hiring decisions, interview and create consensus amongst hiring team, ensure selected candidate meets all minimum qualifications and documentation is confirmed for all final candidates, determine appropriate starting salary level for new employees and extend job offers as needed.
- Make certain background check information, drug/alcohol testing are completed as necessary, analyze results, and determine candidate eligibility.
- Maintain EEOC information for all candidates.
- Utilize People Support internal database, HRIS system, and ensure all leads and contacts are captured in the recruitment module.
- Regular and reliable attendance at the worksite and adhere to assigned schedule. this position is not a remote or telecommute position.
- Adhere to all company and departmental policies and procedures per the guidebook including all safety requirements including all safety guidelines.
- Utilize electronic time management system to input time, attendance and paid off request.
Non-Essential Job Functions (Functions specific to an individual position):
- Develop and run basic reports from HRIS.
- Represent Unity at professional organization and career fair events.
Qualifications
Education: High School Diploma, Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum 5 years relevant recruiting and interviewing experience for professional as well as entry-level positions.
- Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills to adequately evaluate job applicants and direct management on the recruiting and hiring process.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective multi-level business relationships.
- Highly organized with excellent attention to detail.
- Critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills.
- Knowledge of federal and state employment law.
- Working knowledge of HRIS systems.
- Ability to communicate, interact and work effectively and cooperatively with people from diverse ethnic and educational backgrounds.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality in all aspects of the job.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks with frequent interruptions; manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to diffuse and manage stressful situations.
- Experience with the most current internet and social media recruiting sources.
Computer Skills:
- Minimum intermediate end-user of MS Word and advanced user of MS Excel. Minimum 3 year experience with HRIS is required.
Certificates & Licenses: Professional of Human Resources (PHR) or Senior Professional of Human Resources (SPHR), preferred.
Other Requirements: Background emphasizing all areas within Human Resources is preferred. Bilingual fluency (Spanish and English) is a plus. Complete pre-employment behavioral assessment.
