NATURE OF WORK:

Performs professional and supervisory work for the Employment and Testing Sections of the Human Resources Department. Duties and Responsibilities include:

  • Manages the recruitment, employment, and testing processes for the City of Orlando.
  • Establishes and monitors ongoing recruitment and employment metrics to ensure performance expectations are met.
  • Develops new strategies and programs to attract candidates.
  • Handles recruitment and employment processes for high-level positions, as needed.
  • Works closely with leadership to provide guidance on employment and recruitment related issues, assistance on critical needs, and ensure expectations are being met.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Work is performed under the supervision of the Human Resources Assistant Director, and is reviewed through observation, reports, conferences, and results obtained.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial/Organizational Psychology or closely related field required with a minimum of four years of experience in employment required or an equivalent combination of related education, training and experience. Minimum of one year of supervisory experience in employment required. Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.), and Human Resources Software Programs (preferably Workday). Thorough understanding of recruiting methods and best practices, as well as applicable federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
