We are looking for intermediate and advanced Cyber Software Developers to join a team of Cybersecurity professionals responsible for safeguarding the customer enterprise, develop and maintain tools and systems used to monitor and secure critical information technology (IT) systems.
As a Cyber Software Developer, you will:
• collaborate with system owners and stakeholders to analyze user needs and software requirements
• develop and maintain an interactive web portal that integrates with existing cyber security tools to provide government oversight into the enterprise cybersecurity posture
• develop secure code and error handling and apply secure code documentation.
• compile and write code and program documentation with collaboration in mind, inserting comments in coded instructions so others can understand the program.
• confer with systems analysts, engineers, programmers, and others to design applications and evaluate interface between hardware and software with consideration for project limitations and capabilities, and performance requirements.
• apply coding and testing standards such as peer code reviews, security testing tools, and code scans to commit bug free code.
• identify key security objectives early and maximize software security for consideration in plans and schedules.
An ideal candidate will,
• perform secure programming and identify potential flaws in codes to mitigate vulnerabilities
• leverage enterprise-wide version control system and security services for secure applications design and development
• develop software system testing and validation procedures, programming, and documentation
• perform integrated quality assurance testing and software assurance testing to ensure security and functional requirements are achieved
• document application elements to include software attack surfaces, conduct threat modeling, and define any specific security criteria.
• assess software patches or releases for vulnerabilities and develop countermeasures and mitigations against potential exploitations
The ideal candidate will have knowledge of:
• current industry methods for secure software development and security requirements
• public keying (including existing public key infrastructure (PKI) libraries) and certificate management and encryption functionalities
• cybersecurity functions (e.g., encryption, access control, and identity management)
• cyber defense and vulnerability assessment and alerting tools
Advanced Cyber Software Developers may also,
• Act as primary contact for the prime and/or customer regarding status of ongoing development, findings, and implementation of remediation efforts
• Direct software programming and development of documentation.
• assess design feasibility within time and cost constraints of program
• Supervise and assign work to developers and other team members.
• Provide expertise to the customer as to policy and specifications necessary to ensure development addresses risk, compliance, and assurance efforts and meet security, resilience, and dependability requirements across all customer systems
Pay Information:
Salary Range: $109,000 – $185,000
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.

Required Skills and Education
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical discipline OR equivalent experience and training from the DoD 8140 Training Repository OR Either CSSLP or CISSP-ISSAP certification
• IAT Level 2 (or higher) certification (e.g. CCNA-Security, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, SSCP)
5+ years of experience as Software Developer or Programmer
2+ years of hands-on experience with secure programming standards and methodologies.

Preferred Skills and Education
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical discipline
- IAT Level 3 certification (e.g. CASP CE, CISA, GCED, GCIH)
5+ years of experience as Software Developer or Programmer
4+ years of hands-on experience with secure programming standards and methodologies.
5+ years of experience as Software Developer or Programmer using languages such as Javascript, .net, Java, etc.
4+ years of hands-on experience with secure programming standards and methodologies.
Other experiences with tools such as the list below is desired but not required.
