Enhanced Services Program Clinician
POSITION: Enhanced Services Program Clinician SITE: New Directions Transitional Housing Program
REPORTS TO: Director of Transitional Housing
SALARY: $29.00 to $34.00/Hour, based on qualifications and experience
MAJOR TASKS:
1. Provide appropriate therapeutic services for assigned clients weekly.
2. Assist in maintaining all clinical charts and documentation including: Community Care Licensing forms, documentation of external services, contact sheets, and transition dispositions.
3. Pursue and provide individual, family therapy, parent education and substance abuse education, as approved and appropriate.
4. Assist in assessing client’s needs, strengths and level of functioning; assist in establishing a psychosocial and needs assessment, diagnosis and treatment plan.
5. Provide therapeutic services that are knowledgeable and respectful of differing cultures and the norms that exist within various cultures.
6. Participate in Child and Family Team meetings, as appropriate.
7. Consult with designated licensed supervisor regarding assessment and treatment of clients.
8. Consult with collaborative partners in the best interest of each client, as necessary and appropriate (i.e. County Social Workers, health care professionals, school staff, Regional Center service providers, etc.).
9. Consult and communicate with the client’s natural support system, as appropriate.
10. Participate in weekly clinical individual and/or group supervision.
11. Attend all staff meetings and in-service trainings as required.
12. Observe client’s activities and interactions, interact with clients multiple times per week, and regularly review progress notes.
13. Assist with crisis assessment and behavioral interventions, as appropriate.
14. Transport clients to appointments using agency and/or personal vehicle, as needed.
15. Perform other tasks as assigned.
16. Ability to comply with a flexible schedule.
EFFECT ON END RESULT: This position assures that therapeutic services are provided in a trauma-informed and culturally respectful manner to support the care, treatment, and services of clients in the New Directions Program.

Qualifications
POSITION: Enhanced Services Program Clinician SITE: New Directions Transitional Housing Program
REPORTS TO: Director of Transitional Housing
GENERAL FUNCTION: This position provides therapy and enhanced clinical case management for parenting or pregnant participants, and participants struggling with substance abuse and/or behavioral health symptoms. Will direct aspects of client’s individual, and family therapy, providing information, advocacy and collaborative treatment planning within the agency and in cooperation with other agencies.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Must be able to be associated with Casa de Amparo through Community Care Licensing (CCL), which typically includes clearance by FBI, DOJ and CACI.
• Graduate of an accredited university with a Master’s Degree in behavioral science/arts
• Must be a California Registered Intern or licensed as an LMFT, LCSW or LPCC. BBS Number required for both.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a public or private child welfare social services setting or specific experience working with transition age youth who are 16 to 24 years of age, preferred.
• Knowledge of developmental needs of children ages 0-18 years throughout the developmental stages.
• Experience providing treatment to individuals who are struggling with substance abuse and/or mental health symptoms, and/or parenting/pregnant individuals.
• Must possess strong interpersonal, time-management, organizational, written and verbal communication skills, and intermediate computer literacy. English proficient/Bilingual Spanish preferred. Must have ambulatory, auditory and visual skills to observe residents and staff.
• Must have the physical ability to participate in activities and perform related physical skills, including, but not limited to, crouching, lifting 50 pounds, crawling on hands and knees, and walking up and down stairs.
• Ability to comply with all employment requirements including, but not limited to CPR/Pediatric 1st Aid, physical, TB and drug screen clearance, clear DMV record and approval from insurance carrier to drive agency vehicles. Must provide proof of immunization against influenza, pertussis, and measles.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
