Wipfli is looking for an experienced enterprise brand specialist to help grow Wipfli’s external brand to support our acquisition goals with clients, recruits and firms. This position is a part of our brand a strategy team, and reports to the director of communications while working closely with our CHRO, executive leaders, internal communications manager and other key stakeholders in marketing and HR. The external brand senior specialist is responsible for developing and executing Wipfli’s enterprise-level external communications to build the firm’s brand.

The ideal candidate should be thoroughly familiar with a variety of communication tools, technologies and processes and have a proven track record managing an editorial calendar, building out project plans and supporting the development of enterprise-level communications strategies.

The external enterprise brand specialist must have superior writing skills, be an effective communicator and strong collaborator, and possess the ability to reflect Wipfli’s strategic goals. This role involves fostering relationships across the organization to support different initiatives and leaders through the development of communication materials and strategies. The role also involves a significant amount of writing tailored to multiple audiences. The ideal candidate should be thoroughly familiar with a variety of communication tools, technologies and processes and have a proven track record managing an editorial calendar, building out project plans and supporting the development of enterprise-level communications strategies.

Responsibilities

  • This person will support our brand presence as an innovative and inclusive place to work.
  • Develop external storytelling initiatives to promote our culture and oversee current storytelling initiatives such as our annual report, Living Our Values and Window into Wipfli.
  • Craft and maintain enterprise-level content for Wipfli on its own website, such as wipfli.com
  • Craft and maintain enterprise-level content about Wipfli on external platforms, such as Glassdoor and Allinial Global.
  • Work collaboratively with the regional marketing account managers, recruiting and public relations teams on award submissions that support our enterprise brand.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for the recruiting team to fulfill their external branding needs.
  • Work collaboratively on content needs with firm partners that support people initiatives, such as Hiring Our Heroes, CEO Action for Diversity and Inclusion and Accounting+.
  • Work collaboratively with the director of communications and the director of brand experience on firmwide content.
  • Work collaboratively with the director of marketing account management on M&A acquisitions and firm partnerships, such as Allinial Global.
  • Engage and develop relationships with employees to include them employer branding efforts
  • Exemplifies our core values when working with all stakeholders

Qualifications

  • Candidate must have 5+ years of experience in marketing (B2B experience preferred)
  • A 4-year degree in communications, marketing or related field
  • A strong writer who can craft on-brand content, both short-form and narrative
  • Has a passion for storytelling
  • Be a creative thinker, bringing new ideas and best practices to the table
  • Be a strategic thinker as well as a practical doer, comfortable with rolling up sleeves
  • Excellent organizational skills and demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Be able to navigate stakeholder expectations and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Proactive, engaged and a self-starter
  • Flexible, adaptable and able to effectively execute a range of job duties
  • Strict attention to detail and enthusiasm for collaboration
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Must possess initiative, resourcefulness, be accurate, persistent, and dependable
  • Must be able to establish a high level of credibility with his/her clients
  • Uses positive influence to manage peers and/or individuals higher in rank and demonstrates the ability to foster strong relationships
  • Maintains professionalism and a “can-do-attitude” in the execution of all project-related assignments and tasks

Wipfli supports equal pay for equal work and values each candidate’s unique experiences and skill sets. The estimated pay range for this position is: $60,000 to $100,000. Compensation within the range is determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to, location, individuals’ skills, experience, training, licensure and certifications, business needs and applicable employment laws.

Individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, subject to participation rules and based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual and Firm performance.
