The Culture Lab Technician performs data entry and processing of biological indicator spore strip tests in a high-volume culture lab. Primarily serving the dental industry, B.I. spore strip tests are used in autoclave performance testing for sterility assurance.

Duties
- Sorts and labels test envelopes and performs data entry based on information provided in envelope
- Aseptically transfer spore strips into test tubes
- Operates fill machines and ensures proper media fill into tubes, including setup and breakdown
- Follows SOPs to ensure appropriate incubation protocol
- Other duties as assigned, including but not limited to counting and opening test envelopes, cleaning work area, restock supplies, etc.
- Removes samples from incubators and visually examines for bacterial growth
- Routine cleaning of laboratory glassware and equipment
- Daily monitoring of incubator temperatures
Education Degree
High School Diploma or GED

Pay range for this opportunity is $16.34 – $21.44.
Minimum pay rates offered will comply with county/city minimums, if higher than range listed. Pay rates are based on a number of factors, including but not limited to local labor market costs, years of relevant experience, education, professional certifications, foreign language fluency, etc.
