Role description:

Arcadis is currently searching for an Entry-Level Process Mechanical / Water Engineer to support our team in White Plains, NY.

The scope of work will vary by project, but the focus will be on process engineering, promotion of best practices for process design and major process mechanical systems and establishment of design criteria. Role accountabilities:

  • Perform engineering analyses, modeling, and calculations and prepare or support preparation detailed design drawings and specifications.
  • Technical support for regional business development activities (e.g., face-to-face client interactions, site visits, technical training for client staff, workshop presentations on treatment technology, planning, regulatory frameworks, etc.)
  • Interact and correspond with clients, local and remote Arcadis staff, permitting agencies and other consulting firms in the execution of engineering projects.
  • Gather information, develop and evaluate alternatives, and prepare engineering reports.
  • Establish design criteria, perform design calculations, system sizing, equipment selection, develop detailed drawing designs for full documentation of the design, and write associated material and product specifications required for a complete design package.
  • Provide engineering services during project construction phase, including reviewing contractor equipment submittals, shop drawings, and responding to contractor requests for information.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Self-motivated, and team-oriented, with the ability to work successfully both independently and within a team
  • Strong interpersonal skills for leading and/or working in diverse team environments with staff, clients, and stakeholders.
  • Flexible attitude towards assignments, with the initiative and ability to take on new projects and other challenges regularly
  • Ability to balance and address new challenges as they arise
  • Familiarity/ experience with CAD, AutoCAD, Revit, and/or MicroStation

Required Qualifications

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering degree
  • Current, valid driver’s license and clean driving record

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior internship experience in Consulting Engineering firm
  • EIT certification

The salary range for this position is $65,000-$97,500.
