The Boeing Company Global Services is currently seeking Entry Level Real Time Software Engineers to become part of the Training Systems team at our Hazelwood, MO location.

Training Systems is responsible for the design, development, manufacture, and maintenance of training devices for a wide variety of commercial and military aircraft – everything from F-15 fighter jets to C-17 cargo aircraft, and even NASA’s Starliner spacecraft. We seek engineers who have shipped products in multiple technology stacks, and we’d consider experience in other technologies, for example .NET, if you can couple that with recent experience writing production code in some of the above-mentioned tech.

Train C-17 Pilots, Loadmasters to Load, Fly, and Deliver!

Position Responsibilities:

  • Assists with the documentation and maintenance of architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces and designs for software systems.
  • Develops and maintains code and integrates software components into a fully functional software system.
  • Assists with test procedures and documenting test results to ensure software system requirements are met.
  • Gathers information to support software project management.
  • Documents deployed processes and tools and collect metrics.
  • Supports software research and development projects.
  • Troubleshoots basic software issues.
  • Works under close supervision.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skill/Experience):

  • Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics or other technical degree by end of August 2023
  • Classroom or work related programming experience with any of the following software development languages: Ada, C, C++, C#, JAVA, and Python

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Graphic design and multimedia programming with tools such as DirectX
  • Experience with Software Development Tools (Visual Studio)
  • Experience with Linux
  • Experience with Agile planning/project management tools (VersionOne, Jira, etc.)
  • Experience working with Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS)
    and development of real-time software
  • Experience with avionics and aircraft systems
  • Have or have held an active U.S. Security Clearance in the past 24 months

Typical Education/Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience. In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Summary pay range: $69,700 – $94,300
