Responsibilities
Peraton is seeking a Systems Integration & Testing Engineer to support our NOAA customer and our commercial software product. This position is located in Melbourne, FL.
Responsibilities:
- Performing system level software integration and test (I&T) activities for Satellite Ground Station Command and Control applications ensuring system compatibility to meet program technical, schedule and cost objectives. This includes the test and integration of COTS-based systems from the system design phase through development, documentation, installation and commissioning of the completed system.
- Position will require the generation of test procedures for the validation and verification of software components to analyze requirements for integration and/or testability issues.
- Ability to support test readiness reviews, formal system verification of the system requirements and final test reports.
- Recognizes and adopts best practices in documentation, testing and efficient use of resources.
- Utilizes basic administration and configuration of RedHat Enterprise Linux in order to resolve configuration issues and integrate Red Hat Linux systems with other existing environments.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum Experience: BS/BA degree; 4+ years’ with 2 year post-secondary/ AA/AS degree, 6+ years non degreed
- Experience with software development methodologies and life-cycles; specifications and testing
- Experience with automated testing tools, developing tests scripts using Java and C
- Experience with RedHat Linux
- Experience working in an Agile development environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in developing tests scripts
- Experience in Satellite Ground Station – Command and Control applications and software integration and troubleshooting experience of complex, multi-application systems, as well as Satellite Mission Planning Software
- Communicates effectively with management, peers and customer
- Displays excellent teamwork skills with the ability to lead a team in a test lab environment
SECURITY CLEARANCE:
This position requires the candidate to obtain and maintain a People Trust Access and certify as: “U.S. Person or U.S. Permanent Resident” as defined in the International Traffic in Arms Regulation, 22 C.F.R § 120.15.

Target Salary Range
$51,000 – $82,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
