LKQ Corporation is the leading provider of alternative and specialty parts to repair and accessorize automobiles and other vehicles. At LKQ Bellingham we specialize in the remanufacturing of automotive engines. This position manages and maintains systems for health, safety, and environmental compliance with internal, City, State, and Federal regulations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Wastewater discharge permit compliance including oversight of;
- Weekly calibration of measuring instruments
- Monthly water analysis
- Monthly DMR reporting
- Permit maintenance
- Record keeping
- DOE Hazardous waste compliance including oversight of;
- Storage compliance weekly inspections
- Monthly facility safety inspections
- Monthly Hazardous waste pick up
- Hazardous waste shipment records
- Annual Hazardous waste shipment reporting
- Record keeping
- Pollution prevention plan.
- NWCCA Emissions reporting
- Stormwater audit including;
- Industrial stormwater permit maintenance and compliance.
- Spill control plan maintenance
- OSHA Reporting
- Accident investigation and injury prevention measures
- Fire suppression system and elevator compliance inspection coordination
- Emergency Action Plan
- Employee training
- Other tasks as they relate to health, safety, and environmental compliance
Compensation:
- $55,000 – $65,000 annually
- $1,200 retention bonus

- Able to work in a fast-paced production environment.

- Able to work weekdays 7:00am-3:30pm with weekends and overtime as required
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Higher education preferred.
- Previous experience in EH&S preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Move up to 50lbs
- Repeatedly stand, squat, bend, and lift for long periods of time
