As the Program Manager, you will play a pivotal role in collaborating with our esteemed Central US leadership team and Terracon’s Environmental Planning Practice Leader to chart a strategic path for further growth within the region. Your responsibilities will encompass leading the Central US Environmental Planning team, nurturing a culture of excellence, and spearheading business development initiatives with a keen focus on the Central US market.
Your expertise in environmental planning will be critical as you provide mentorship and guidance to our dedicated practitioners, empowering them to deliver top-tier services to our esteemed clients throughout the region. You will be at the forefront of driving key aspects of our operations, including wetland and waters of the U.S. delineation and permitting, threatened and endangered species (T&E) assessments, cultural resource management, and NEPA studies.

Essential Roles and Responsibilities:
- Lead and connect the Central US Environmental Planning team
- Enhance our environmental planning business in the Central US
- Drive new client development and grow revenue from existing clients including diversification of services provided
- Leverage relationships with existing Geotechnical clients to assist these clients with ENVP needs
- Provide technical leadership on key projects
- Direct the efforts of the major project and client pursuits including strategy
- Lead interactions with client, stakeholders, and project managers to ensure the projects are being coordinated to meet the needs of the client and stakeholders
- Manage risk related to projects. Ensure contracts are signed and fully executed prior to commencing work. Monitor adherence to corporate risk policies and Services. Hold managers accountable for mitigating or eliminating risk
- Communicate safety initiatives, rules and guidelines for office or region. Hold managers and employees accountable for following safety rules and guidelines with documented coaching through our safety application
- Promote continuous quality monitoring and improvement on projects. Ensure best practices are being followed and hold Managers accountable for quality control standards
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in technical discipline practices by the Firm including Engineering, Environmental Science or Geology and a minimum of 15 years’ related experience. Or, in lieu of a degree, a minimum of 19 years’ related experience.
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history.
- Availability to travel overnight within the Central U.S. to implement strategy with occasional meetings elsewhere in the U.S.
Preferred Certification:
- Project Management Professional (PMP)
- Professional Engineer (PE), Professional Geologist (PG), Professional Wetland Scientist (PWS), Registered Professional Archaeologists (RPA), Certified Wildlife Biologist (CWB) or similar professional registration/certification relevant to the type of services and projects being managed.
- Authorized Project Reviewer status.
This position has been categorized as a “Remote Only” position. “Remote Only” employees do not have a designated workspace at an office, and typically work from home or another location.
The national standard salary range for this position is $100,200-$155,300. The base range may be adjusted based on the specific location of the applicant. Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience.
