Role description:

Arcadis is seeking an engineer with relevant experience and a background in the field of environmental remediation or similar systems. We are looking for a candidate with a strong technical background in mechanical, electrical and control systems to drive improvement and design tasks for remediation systems.

The successful candidate will be part of a team supporting a diverse set of remediation operation sites and re-design projects. In addition, you will have the opportunity to be an active member of the project management teams on these projects.

This position requires both office and field work; the successful candidate should expect to be out in the field up to 10% of the time performing engineering tasks.

This position is a remote role and can be done from any location.

Role accountabilities:

  • Assisting operations and maintenance technicians read, interpret, and understand mechanical, electrical and computer engineering technical documents
  • Assist project teams in identifying solutions to operational obstacles
  • Assisting in the field with inspections, conducting pilots and full-scale remediation efforts, and participating in face-to-face client, technical, and other stakeholder meetings
  • Coordinating work schedules with Arcadis field staff and subcontractors
  • Communicating with vendors on specifications and ordering
  • Ensuring field personnel are properly prepared and equipped for field work
  • Health and safety stewardship, including local field visits
  • Technical report review, in coordination with a team of senior experts as appropriate
  • May require some regional travel for field visits

Qualifications & Experience:

Required Qualifications:

  • 2-4 years of relevant experience
  • BS in Environmental, Chemical, Mechanical or Civil Engineering or closely related field
  • Basic understanding of mechanical, electrical and control systems

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Current 40-Hour HAZWOPER Training
  • NFPA-70E qualified

The salary range for this position is $61,200 – $105,570.
