The Equipment Technician that supports our Calibration Solutions business has responsibility for the routine work related to the repair, preventative maintenance and calibration of test and measurement equipment.
Key Job Responsibilities:
- Follow documented procedures or equipment manual instructions to perform preventative maintenance
- Manage equipment database ensuring all assets are properly maintained for use in production of medical devices
- Create (or collaborate to create) maintenance plans for equipment
- Verify outside vendor calibration certificates and upload into database
- Manage the uploading of documentation and verification of calibration due dates in the database, and accurately enter data into equipment database
- Provide information to operations team about upcoming equipment service or calibration
- Request quotes, send and receive equipment needing outside calibration
- Assist field teams with equipment transfer and calibration
- Apply lock-out / tag-out for broken or unsafe equipment
- Organize and manage Calibrated equipment cage
- Participate in production Daily Management
- All quality related tasks as needed
Qualifications/Education:
- High school diploma and 2+ years’ work experience related to basic mechanical work. OR
- Associates degree in any science-based field OR
- Bachelor’s degree in any science-based field
- Excellent written communication / detailed data entry
- Familiarity with quality management systems and quality assurance practices
- Experience with Metrology equipment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office tools: Outlook, Word, Excel
Compensation/Benefits:
Salary Range for this position is $18-20/hr.
